Messed With The Wrong Heiress のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 181 - チャプター 190

RAYMOND’S POVSince I arrived at the funeral home a few minutes earlier, I’ve been observing Blair closely. She is acting so weird, walking around in a hurry as if she is looking for something. It surprised me and upset me when she came into the hall while I was talking with Mr. Smith and took me out. I thought she had something reasonable to say, but she kept mentioning Jeff. Jeff is in prison, for goodness’ sake. What does she want from him? Is it about Asher’s case? There is no way someone who is in prison can come out and do bad things. She is just doing this to humiliate me because she doesn’t respect the dead.“Where are all the guards moving to?”I asked Ben who was passing by. He looked in the direction of the guards and shrugged his shoulders.“I don’t know, Mr. Raymond, but I will ask them.”He hurried towards them. “Raymond, what is wrong with your wife? Doesn’t she know that in our family, we don’t act this way when a person dies?”My cousin said looking so upset.Gr

RAYMOND’S POVWhat is really wrong with Blair? She has been acting so weird throughout the day. Who knows? Her fears might have led her to get into trouble. Something must be wrong somewhere. And I hope I am not going to lose my wife too. “Don’t you think she should visit the psychiatrist?”My wife? What nonsense! How could he even say that out of his mouth?“You must be out of your mind, Ben. Why would you even think of something as stupid as that?”“I am so sorry, Mr. Raymond. It’s just that I am afraid she is traumatized. It could be that everything that is happening around us has gotten into her head and is messing with her mind.” Could it be true?I doubt that.Blair can never lose her mind. Sighs. “Do not repeat that.”He was warned. Ben apologized, and then bowed his head. “I will go check out some things from home.”“Okay, make sure everything is going well.”The moment Ben turned to leave, a nurse hurried out of the building.“Mr. Raymond, your wife needs your attent

RAYMOND’S POV“What do you mean she ran away?”“She left the room two hours ago. I swear, I thought she was taking a walk around and would return, but she didn't.”This isn't happening. Two hours and she is not back?Where on earth did she go? Could she be kidnapped? No, She left willingly,Her handbag isn't here, And the nurse said she walked out of the room by herself. “Why didn't you stop her when she was leaving?"“I was searching for a file, Mr. Raymond. And before I could finish what I was doing, she was already gone.”Ahh!What does Blair think she is doing?Wasn't it she who said Jeff is after her life? She wouldn't have left if that were true, Wait a minute.Maybe she went home because she is afraid Jeff might follow her here.“Let's go home, she might be there.”Ben and I together with two of the bodyguards left, while the others stayed behind in case Blair decides to return. Unfortunately, Blair wasn't at home when we arrived, We checked everywhere in the house, but

“It is either we wait for Desmond, or we postpone this.”“What!”They all exclaimed. Yes, That is my stand. If Desmond doesn't show up, then we will postpone it. I stood up from the sofa to leave, but I was stopped. “Where do you think you are going?”Tim asked.“To attend to something important. If Desmond shows up, then you can call me.”I didn't wait for any of them to say a word again before leaving. I can't even believe we are doing this. Sharing someone’s hard-earned wealth. Gosh!Is this how it all ends?Grandpa wouldn't be happy right now. “Is Desmond coming?”I asked Ben with whom he has been communicating. “I don't know, sir, but that was what he said.”Okay.Let’s wait a little while for him. Desmond is going to show up, I am sure about it.I returned to my apartment to prepare ahead of the gathering because I know there is going to be a lot of misunderstanding later. An hour later, I decided to go check up on them since no one cared to call me back. On getting

Sighs.“Come on, Raymond. Do you want to live here with your family for the rest of your life? Among the cousins, you are the first to own a house in your name. What do you want to do here when grandpa isn't alive?”Betty spoke for the first time.“Besides, you never wanted to stay here from the beginning, it was Grandpa who forced you to move in here.”She added.Well, she has a point. But something in me doesn't want to leave this mansion. I want us to keep it and save the memories we've all had here. “I am so tired of this wretched house, I want a new one!”Desmond snapped.A wretched house?“This was the house where you were all born, and raised. What do you mean by a wretched house?”“See? We've spent almost half of our lives here, and I don't want my dear Lia and the other kids on the way to grow up here. Thank goodness my first child wasn't born either.”Desmond said. “Darling, let's go already. Aren't we going to pick a house to stay in since we are moving back to this cit
