“Anything?” He asked which made me flinch. “I….I…” I said but the words died in my mouth as I just stared at him.”Anything within my power, sir.” “What if I ask for your body in return?” He asked with a smirk at the corner of his lips mischievously. My heart sank in my chest the moment he said that. This man has refused to change. “I…I…didn't mean it like that. I meant something within my power.” I said, trying to explain but it came out as rude. “So it isn't something within your power?” He asked and I just stared at him, after a while, he uttered “Do as you wish regardless, but you aren't getting that shadowfern” “Sir, please help me.” I begged desperately, I couldn't turn back now. I just couldn't without an answer. He looked at me and laughed, “well, I wouldn't want to do that to my daughter's best friend. I admit that what I did years ago was wrong. But Elena, he said, looking at me keenly this time. “There is no shadowfern. It no longer exists”. Immediately, he s

Adrian It was already afternoon, and the office was unusually quiet. I sat behind my desk, staring at the documents in front of me, but my mind wasn’t on work at all. I leaned back a little, rubbing my temples gently. The sunlight coming through the glass walls felt warm, but it did nothing to ease the worry in my chest. It’s been seven days since Elena went missing, and the kids have not stopped crying since then. I had done everything I could to find her, but it was all in vain. Now, all I could do was think she might be in one particular place. Seven days had passed, though, and I hadn’t expected her to be gone this long. She would never abandon her children. They were her world, and I knew that. Even so, the thought of them crying and calling out for her in the middle of the night… it made me feel pain inside my chest. I swallowed hard, dragging a hand across my face as I leaned back in my chair. I pushed the documents aside and exhaled slowly. I had been carrying a lot on my

I stared at the hand he extended toward me and scoffed. "I can walk down myself, there is no need for you to walk me down, I will go myself." I said as I went to remove my jacket tags I had placed by the edge of the bed last night while trying to take care of him. He knew better than to argue; the Dominic I had known—would have grabbed my wrist and forced my hand into his, or at the very least made a sarcastic comment until I gave in. But he didn’t. He took a few step back, and his hands moved slowly into the pockets of his sweatpants. His broad shoulders rose and fell gently as he exhaled. “Alright,” he said simply. He took his move and we walked towards the dinning table, while I followed closely from behind. There were a few omegas who stopped what they were doing to bow when they say Dominic passed by. As soon as we got to the dining table, Dominic stepped ahead and pulled out a chair at the right hand side of the table for me to seat which i did, before he followed.

The morning air was sharp, carrying the sweet taste of wine and wet earth. I had woken up early and prepared myself for the hunting game that was to start any moment. I adjusted my outfit, the one Dominic had told the maid to prepare; it was sleek, regal and beautiful. Still admiring, A soft knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. “Lena,” Dominic’s voice called through the door. “Come in!” I replied. When he stepped inside, I couldn’t help but notice how commanding he looked. His hunting attire was fitted and dark, accentuating his broad shoulders and lean strength. The cloak draped lightly over his back, and the subtle silver embroidery caught the morning light. He looked every bit of the Alpha ready to dominate the hunt. “Shall we go?” he asked simply, his eyes holding mine. I stared at him, trying to understand why he would want me to go with him to the field. That was the place of the Luna. The Alpha and the Luna were to stand side by side. I cleared my throat, hesi

Dominic’s POV I had woken up as early as possible, excited for the annual pack hunting game, something I hadn’t felt in years. Normally, the hunt was routine for me, just another day to prove myself again. But this time… it felt different because Elena was here, my girl was with me to attend and watch me. Elena staying by my side had really helped me and my wolf, we had more strength, and it had become easier to shift unlike before. I dressed up, put on my armor and was pacing in my bedroom, in anticipation of the right time to go to Elena’s room and walk by her side to the hunting field. ‘Let’s go meet her, let’s go meet our mate!’ My wolf Ragner stirred inside me. ‘Shut up! Not yet!’ I said, putting a barricade in my mind between the two of us. Hopefully, it would save me from unnecessary nagging from him for the meantime. As soon as it was time for the ball, I went over to Elena’s room. Gosh! She was so beautiful in the outfit I had sent over to her. She felt surprised to
