KAYLA'S POV A message notification popped on my phone screen, and I frowned when I looked at it to see it was from Joana. Curiously, I tapped open the message and scoffed when I realized it was the details of the meeting Jeffery had talked about yesterday. When Jeffery had said his assistant was going to forward me the details, it didn't register in my mind that Joana was that assistant. I had no idea she was actually doing the very job they claimed she was employed to do.The message simply read, 'Location: GrapeView Hotel. Time: 5:30pm. Dress code: Corporate. Reserved Table: 012. Client: Mr Andrew Mcalister.I cursed underneath my breath when I realized the meeting was only thirty minutes from now. They knew it was by this time, and chose not to send me these details since morning?!Not wanting to let anything ruin my mood, I let out a low sigh and began packing up for close of work. Lexi peeped into my office from the inner work space. "You're leaving already?""Yes." I nodded.

GABRIEL'S POV“Salvatore Mancini’s men intercepted our shipment at the docks last night. They’re claiming New York routes belong to them.”A slow, cold smile tugged at my lips.I was currently in the middle of a meeting with Carlo and a few of my men. Apparently we were already having issues, barely a month into starting up the cocaine factory here in New York.“Belong?” I repeated, swirling the wine in my glass. “Carlos… these American dogs forget themselves.”“I built an empire in Italy, while Mancini was still begging scraps from the Russians,” I continued. “If he thinks New York puts him above me, he’s mistaken.”“What do we do?” Carlo simply asked, ever ready to take actions.“We remind them.” I said firmly. “Quietly, no blood yet. Send word that I’m willing to share the coast with them, for now. But if they touch another gram of my product…” I let the sentence hang, heavy as gunpowder.“They’ll understand, Boss.” One of the men murmured in absolute comprehension. Just then, my

KAYLA'S POV My eyes slowly fluttered open, my vision blurry for the first few seconds. Then gradually, they focused on the very man I least expected to see."Kayla." He called calmly. I took a little moment to look around me, and I definitely recognized the familiar room. It was his room. What was I doing in his house aga....Just then, the memories from last night flooded my mind, cutting off my thoughts. My heart fell to the pit of my stomach as tears slowly gathered around my eyes."You're safe now." Gabriel assured me, but I found myself unable to say a word in response.I sat still in my spot for minutes, trying to get over the shock of what had happened. I mean, I was too drugged to feel the shock last night.I wondered what happened after I fell unconscious. When Gabriel had come. How he knew I was in danger. And why.... Why this even happened.Jeffery.....My mind tried not to believe that this was his doing, but the signs were clear. He had been so serious about this meet

KAYLA'S POV It was already late noon, when I drove out of the place where I had almost been raped yesterday. GrapeView Hotel. I had gone to pick up my car, seeing as Gabriel had driven in his own car last night. Speaking of which, I only just realized I hadn't offered him the least bit appreciation for protecting me last night. Regardless of the fact I was still trying to keep my distance from him, I believed he deserved my gratitude. I wasn't sure where his new company was located, so I did a quick search on the internet. All I had to do was type in his name on Google search, and every information I sought was provided.I took a sharp turn, rerouting towards the location of his company. In less than fifteen minutes, I arrived there. Wow. I knew Gabriel was doing so well for himself, but this was huge. Definitely not a small feat. At the top of the six storey building, the company name stood proudly.'LEON GROUP'.I made my way in with a tense mind, not sure I knew exactly what

GABRIEL'S POV God, she had no idea what she did to me. Walking into my office like that, all prim and proper in her little gown, thanking me for 'protecting' her. Calling me 'uncle', like she hadn't once moaned with my cock inside her. When my hand touched hers, and I caught a whiff of her sweet, sweet scent, I lost control. I knew that I wanted her, even after deluding myself into thinking it was never going to happen again.Who was I kidding?I hiked up her gown to her waist, my cock getting even harder at the sight of her smooth butt cheeks.Everything about her was so soft and delicate, and I wanted it. I wanted her.She shifted beneath me in obvious nervousness, and I quickly unbuckled my belt, zipping down my trousers and pulling out my hard cock.I released hot air as some amount of thick pre-cum shot out at the tip. Fuck.I needed to be inside her now. "Brace yourself, Kayla." I whispered roughly. "I'm about to fuck you so hard, you'd never be able to call me 'uncle' again.

JEFFERY'S POVI barged in through the doors of the familiar house I had gotten Joana only months ago, slamming the door so hard that the framed photos on the wall rattled. The place reeked of her perfume and that cheap incense she usually burned whenever she knew I was coming over.Like a dog rolling on its back the second it hears its master’s key. I was already seeing red. Somehow, I was so sure Kayla had been telling the truth this morning. Who gave Joana the right to think she could hurt her??!“Joana!” I snarled. She appeared in the hallway almost instantly, naked, of course. Her bare feet padded against the hardwood, and her tits swayed with every step she took. Her eyes were wide, shining with that brainless devotion that used to amuse me ever since we were young teenagers in highschool. She stopped a foot away and tilted her head seductively, lips parted and her waist arched to the side.“What has you looking so annoyed?" She asked, catwalking closer to me. I bent and took

KAYLA'S POV For a better part of this week, I had avoided Gabriel. Every time I came across him in Dad's office, I found one excuse or the other to leave.I was ashamed. So ashamed of myself. This was the third time I had let myself fall into that forbidden temptation of having sex with my husband's uncle.Regardless of how lust-lost I may have found myself, I wasn't a bad person. I didn't want to be one. I truly wanted to leave my marriage to Jeffery, before having anything to do with another man. And that man was certainly not his uncle! So why was I letting myself be pushed deeper into this dark hole of no return?Somehow, I had also come to the realization that Gabriel wasn't actually remorseful. He took pride in this sin, and that scared me even more. The way he lazily smiled my way whenever no one was looking, how he'd purposely ask me unnecessary questions to keep in Dad's office, knowing I felt guilty that Dad had no idea about the things going on.Now on a deeper thought, w

GABRIEL'S POV I frowned when my phone began ringing again. Seriously?! Couldn't he just give it a break? What was it with him trying to resurrect a bond that was never there in the first place?Yet again, I hung up the call. I had lost counts of the number of times I did so that week. When I decided to return to New York, I didn't do so because I wanted to be around my father so bad. I had stopped being the boy who begged for his love, and my detachment had finally solidified after a certain discussion I had with Aunt Beatrice some months back.I finally understood why he had always hated me. Why he treated me so differently. Why I had to suffer for the crimes of someone else.I made up my mind to never confront him about it, to never even speak about it, and to act in line as he had always wanted. What he had always wanted was to alienate me from his family, so I could only wonder what changed now.Why was he suddenly trying to play the very same father role he had run away from,

KAYLA'S POV "If you gave me a chance...." I sang under the hot shower."I will take it!" Lisa and Beulah replied from the room. "It's a shot in the dark...""But I'll make it!"We were currently in Beulah's apartment, getting prepared to attend the Pearson Anniversary dinner, and we felt excited because that was the first time within this week, that we could finally have fun and ease off some work stress.Pulling my towel from the hanger in the bathroom, I wrapped it around my body and carefully stepped out of the bathroom. I walked into the bedroom to see that Lisa and Beulah were almost done with their makeup. "Hurry up, Kay!" Beulah urged. "We only want to be fashionably late.""I knooowww!" I giggled, running around the semi scattered room to get myself ready."You know," I started as I wore my bra, "we should do something nice this weekend." I suggested. "I've been thinking in that direction as well." Lisa nodded in agreement, busy styling her hair. "The week has been horrib

KAYLA'S POV "Good evening, Kayla." Gabriel replied calmly. I couldn't even look at his face."Gabriel!!" Dad's voice resonated, and I forced myself into a mental state of unawareness, as Gabriel got busy exchanging pleasantries with my mom and dad.He didn't bother greeting or saying a word to the rest of the family on the table. All he had done was give a simple 'congratulations sir', Grandpa Zach's way. I could tell the little effort even pleased the old man. I truly couldn't understand his recent... tolerance towards Gabriel.I could still notice all these things even after forcing myself into a state of unawareness. I guess I wasn't so unaware after all.Soon enough, refreshments got served, and we all started eating. Trying to take my mind off things, I mindlessly chatted away with Beulah and Lisa, who for some reason, hadn't dropped her phone since we arrived. "What is it, Lisa?" I asked, and Beulah turned to look at her."What?" Lisa looked up."You've been on your phone." I
