Eva's POV.The damp stench of the dungeon hit my nose the moment I stepped inside, earth knows how much I dislike this place, especially having spent some time in it.Two guards, stationed near the heavy door that led into the prisoners’ chamber, immediately straightened upon seeing me.“Open it,” I ordered casually, though I did not raise my voice. In a swift move, they rushed to unfasten the latch, dragging open the thick metal shutters of the window cut into the wall, and cold air filtered into the corridor. My eyes adjusted, settling upon the figures inside. There they were.Alonzo and his dear Lady Isabella. The once proud couple looked nothing like the arrogant schemers they had paraded themselves to be. Their faces were pale and skin sallow, they looked more miserable than the last time that I was here, their clothes were ragged, stained with the filth of the dirty cell, and their bodies extremely weak.Yet... despite their sorry state, their eyes… oh, their eyes still carried

Eva's POV.Nicklaus stormed out, his footsteps echoing down the stone staircase leading out of the dungeon, I instantly knew his rage wasn’t meant for Aragorn alone, No... it was burning for me too.He isn't supposed to find me at the dungeon, he'd told me severally to avoid ever being there, it was the reason I always waited for him to leave the house before sneaking away, but I guess I was unlucky today. I really can't have him mad at him.“Nicklaus!” I called, hurrying after him, my voice bounced off the stone walls, he didn’t look back. His broad shoulders shifted with every step, his fists clenched so tight I thought he might tear the leather of his gloves apart.“Nicklaus, please!” I tried again, my skirts bunching in my fists as I gathered them to run faster. “Don’t walk away from me like this!”Nothing. Just that furious silence that made my chest tighten with dread.By the time we climbed the last stairwell leading out of the dungeon, my breathing had grown shallow. He didn’

Nicklaus’s fists struck the wooden post again and again, each punch echoing across the training hall as sweat rolled down his temple. Training was how he purged himself, how he kept his demons from consuming him.Suddenly, the door creaked open and Nicklaus turned slightly, thinking it was one of his warriors, only to see Nuela leaning against the doorway, her robe hanging loosely from her shoulders. He quietly turned away from her, and back to his training. Her eyes roamed his body openly. “I see you’re still as relentless as ever, Nicklaus.”Nicklaus didn’t stop. He landed another hard punch, the wood splintering slightly under his knuckles. “What do you want?” His voice was cold as he spoke.Nuela smirked, ignoring his tone. She stepped further into the room, her hips swaying deliberately. “I just came to see if the almighty Nicklaus finally believes me now… that I wasn’t involved in your little wife’s setup.”At that, his fist stilled mid-air. Slowly, he turned, his piercing eye

Eva's POV.The metal was cool against my skin, a sharp contrast to the heat building between my legs. Nicklaus stood between my spread thighs, hands running up the outside of my legs from ankle to hip."Spread your legs for me," he said, voice rough with want.I did, and his eyes darkened as he took in the sight of me, open and willing and so turned on I was probably leaving a wet spot on the iron bar."So pretty," he murmured, fingers tracing the edge of my panties. "And so wet already."I whimpered, my hips tilting toward his touch without conscious thought."Please," I whispered shamelessly."Please what?""Touch me. Please touch me.""Like this?" His fingers slipped under the edge of my panties, just barely brushing against me.I shivered at the contact, electric and not nearly enough. "More.""Greedy girl." He chuckled as his fingers moved deeper, finding me slick and ready. "Fuck, you're soaked."I moaned as he began to stroke me, fingers moving with the same energy he brought t

Nicklaus had been restless since the last council meeting. The words of the elders still echoed in his mind, they were right, confessing to few crimes isn't enough to rule off a serious punishment that could involve banishment or even persecution; if only he could prove that Alonzo and lady Isabella are in alliance with Aragorn, that way, they will all go down together. Nicklaus has been so restless, he had tried to bury himself in training, but even his sword had failed to silence the storm brewing inside him. So, when the moon rose high and evening fell, he chose to wander into the woods. The forest was quiet, save for the whispering of leaves and the occasional hoot of an owl. Nicklaus walked with his hands clasped behind his back, his mind replaying old burdens. As peaceful as the walk stretched, his eyes still scanned the darkened path ahead, as though danger lurked behind every shadow. He didn’t expect trouble, but trouble often had a way of finding him.A sharp cry suddenly t
