Rebirth of the naive maid のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 41 - チャプター 50

Jane's p.o.v His eyes scanned me then the room as I faced him, taken aback by my presence and me, shocked at the implications of what I had done. "What is going on here?" he asked, his voice calm yet his facial expression a tone of surprise. "What are you doing here, Jane? And where is Hailey?" Scared and unsure of how to start, I began to stammer. "I— I—," "You what, Jane?" "I had found a thong" I finally spoke, my voice shaking. "In your pocket. I knew she was behind it." Ethan looked at me with a curious intensity. "You what?" I ran back to the room of the scene where Hailey's body is lying lifeless. Ethan paced behind me and on getting to the room, his expression changed, a look of horror crossing his face. "What— What have you done, Jane?" He whispered. I felt a pang of uncertainty, of doubt. What had I done? But I pushed it aside, my anger and hurt still simmering. "She deserved it," I said, my voice cold. "What?!"Ethan took a step forward, his eyes fixed on Hai

Ethan's p.o.v My head banged with every question I am being asked about Hailey's death as I sat down on the chair in the interrogation room with my hands handcuffed. I have been accused of her murder and constantly interrogated despite my honest declaration. I thought about my life, my father, my empire and Dylan whose image would now be forever stuck in the mud just because of an unfortunate event that I knew absolutely nothing about. "I swear to you that I can't remember anything, officer." "How can you not when you were the only one found at the crime scene and with a gun that was allegedly used to kill her?" I captured my breath into my hands. It's been weeks since my detainment and with unverified allegations about me flying around about my linkage to Hailey's death. I hate that I couldn't remember anything than waking up to Hailey's pool of blood and the scream of a woman whom I believe to be her neighbor. I tried to remember. I keep trying but I can't. It was as if I ha

Ethan's p.o.vI had heard a noise during dinner with Dylan and Jane and despite the emotional turmoils I was experiencing that moment, I couldn't shake that the mere sight of Frank in my compound wasn't only unexpected but also unsettling. His constant shouting of Dylan being his son almost got me flying off the handle. We haven't spoken or seen each other since the last time from high school after I got to know about him and Hailey. He was our hockey captain back then that Hailey cheated on me with and it makes me wonder why he would just suddenly appear in my compound and begin to rant. My appetite suddenly vanished as I approached him by the gate after he jumped over to enter. I narrowed my eyes to catch a perfect glimpse of the figure and it was indeed him. Frank."Frank?" I muttered, trying to keep my tone neutral despite the turmoil brewing inside of me. "What the hell are you doing here at this hour of the night, screaming your lungs out?"Frank only replied me with a glare,

Freya's p.o.v My heart skipped a beat as our eyes met and for the very first time, I felt butterflies in my stomach for him. I'm not supposed to feel this way. He is my enemy. I am supposed to hate him. I hate him. Those eyes. Those alluring icy blue eyes that I had purposely tried to avoid seeing on my own son because they remind me so much of him is now here. Standing right in front of me and staring deep into my soul. But then, I averted my gaze from him, staring at the papers in front of me because God forbid I lose my sanity over this man that isn't even worth my time. I saw Debby running after him and I commanded her to leave us. The closer, Ethan got to my desk, the more his smell filled up my nose and God, it feels so suffocating that I just wanted to leave right away. It took every power in me to not look up to those eyes as he ranted, claiming I was responsible for his company's misfortune like he didn't start it first. But as I looked him in the eye after retri

Jane's p.o.vI clutch my fist against the bedsheet in our room as Ethan continue to yell at me. He had figured I was the reason for all of the mess his company is currently going through and he won't stop ranting when infact I had done it for him. Damn it! He definitely had met her."How could you, Jane?" "I did it for you, Ethan. I saw how you were struggling with getting that exposure in the market and I wanted to help," I retorted, my eyes wandering around the room instead. "And who asked you to, Jane? Did I ever ask you to go and steal those designs? And it wasn't even from anyhow company but 'the Luxe' knowing fully well what they are capable of if you get caught," his voice, not soft but a tone of anger. "Do you know how it feels like to be ridiculed infront of that thing!"What? Did he just call Freya 'thing'? OK, I think this is interested. More interesting than I ever thought it would be. Definitely ended in my favor. Ah! "The sheer embarrassment I had to go through in her
