He was wearing a bright smile that immediately made me feel guilty like I was cheating on him even when I hadn’t made up my mind. “Well, what are you girls up to?” Tony asked casually, leaning against the doorframe. His voice was warm, almost teasing. “There’s a new spot in town. I was thinking of checking it out. You guys want to come along?” He asked, glancing at Hope, who practically glowed with excitement. I caught Tony’s look when it settled on me. It was sweet, admiring, hungry like I was his favorite treat.“Let’s go, we’re in.” Hope said before I could think. She grabbed my hand and gave it a little squeeze. “Come on, Daisy. A girls’ night out with a free chauffeur for us.” Tony laughed when she said this, and I did too.I wanted to say no as I would rather stay in bed and spend the night thinking about the huge decision in front of me.
