DUNCAN'S POV "How did it go at the blood moon yesterday?" I asked Selena as she checked my pulse. I was gradually begining to feel better, I could speak without feeling as much pain as I did before, that probably could be alluded to the fact that I was getting used to living like this but I couldn't ignore the fact that the colour had begun to return to my cheeks, very faint dark circle patch around my eyes and an improves appetite I guess. "It took a different turn from what I expected if I'm to be honest." Selena started. "Don't tell me she didn't let you see him,I know how stubborn Lyra can get but you should have at least tried." I ranted. "You should probably learn some patience first if you want to be free from this affliction." Selena whispered with a slight frown. "Lyra welcomed me but at the same time, I didn't see Ryan." "What? Why not?" "Because there was absolutely nothing wrong with him, nothing that Lyra mentioned. The person

RAPHAEL'S POV Tank and I most carefully entered opened the gates and entered the building to get our plants. I couldn't remember the last time I was here, probably some three to two years ago. My plant garden usually remained in my own yard but when it came to rare plants like moly and night blooming nightshade, I could think of only one place to get it. The house of the old winter witch. Now don't get me wrong, she was a witch but super nice and lacked all of the qualities that applied to being evil. Nadia lost her life to an affliction years back, an affliction which to this day, we were yet to find out it's cause. "I don't usually admit things like this but this has got to be the eeriest place I have ever been to in my entire life." Tank groaned behind me. "You can say that again, Pal." I shrugged at him, mentioning to him that it belonged to a witch would mean I have to complete the rest of the entire process myself and I didn't think I could do that. Tank

LIRA'S POV I breathed a sigh if relief as Lexy went out to speak with Edgar. It wasn't that I didn't like her, I just wanted to be alone for now. Seeing everyone's faces especially Lyra's made me remember what Patrick had done, and it made me feel guilty and I hadn't made any move at all to stop him from doing it. I fell onto the sofa with a thud and crossed my legs. I could still hear Lexy's giggles outside interfering with my thought making it difficult for me to go through what I was thinking, I opened my eyes in annoyance only to realize that it was just my imagination and Lexy was doing anything but giggling. I sighed, life had become so difficult for me, I was now a shadow of my former self. My whole identity was gone, the very essence I lived for, now I wondered if this kind of life was worth living at all. There was a slight difference between being haunted by an enemy and being haunted by a mate who just wouldn't let you be. I figured the former was better because when

RAPHAEL'S POV I clutched the medicine bag over my shoulder and looking around to make sure I was clear, I teleported away to the pack house and inside Thorne's room. "Uh." Peter looked startled. "Don't you ever do that again." He hissed. "Sorry, but I thought teleporting was the fastest way to get here." I placed the bag down on the table. "No I meant, startling me." He explained. "Just come take a look at Thorne." He moved aside while I stood beside Thorne placing my index and middle finger together against his neck, I wanted to feel his pulse. "How is it?" Peter asked me. "It's not good, I can barely feel it." I shuddered. "Oh damn it, if I could get my hands on that rogue." He raged. "No,you're not getting your hands on that rogue. I still need you here to watch him." I held him by the shoulder. "Dang it." He cussed. "You haven't prepared the herb yet, have you?" "I just got the ingredients and I'm going to need your help on something." I said taking out a

LIRA'S POV It was exactly an hour mater, just one hour later. I heard that knock on my door, I pulled the bedsheet away from my body and sat up. I had been expecting to come forth any moment from now, well, and now here she was. "Hey Lira." Lexy knocked again. "My friends are here." "I'm up, I would be right downstairs." I shouted. There was no use shouting though, she would be able to hear me clearly with her super hearing. "Don't be late!" I heard Lexy giggle away as she left the door again. It must be hard being her as a teenager, imagine giggling after every word and no one ever took you seriously, or people just thought you were about to pull a dangerous prank on them when you mean absolutely no harm, but then you try to explain but they don't believe you because you simply can't stop giggling? I made that up because it was exactly what I thought when she giggled behind my door. Like a giant slime would be waiting outside for me the money I opened th
