Madeline’s P.O.V.I was with Luna Hailley when the whole pack house shook badly as if we were facing an earthquake. We looked at each other, and the next second, we ran towards the meeting room.I was telling her about our latest findings on the attack on our patrollers last night before this happened.“It’s Alpha, right?” I asked Luna Hailley anxiously.“Yeah,” she replied anxiously as we continued running at the maximum speed. She burst open the door, throwing the door to the wall, causing a loud bang there.“Lucifer.” She screamed while running towards her mate.I also wanted to run to Adolphus but stopped midway when I saw both Sylvester and Adolphus standing together.I smelled the tension in the room as if it were thicker than gunpowder. Both Adolphus and Sylvester were silent but I could feel how stiff their postures were.Alpha Lucifer immediately calmed down and immediately embraced her tightly.“What happened? Why are you so angry?” She asked him, her voice shaking badly.“N

Madeline’s P.O.V. (Continued)“You are such a tease, Maddie.” He whispered teasingly but kept his voice husky and low.The intensity of his voice made me feel something churning badly in my lower abdomen. That thing hardened with every passing second, and it only made my breath ragged. His hand moved down on my waist.I was dangerous and yet I didn’t want him to stop.He deliberately pressed his hand, a light and cautious weight. He slowly straightened his body but pressed his hand on my waist, keeping me in the same position, lying on his chest, his buddy between my thighs.“You are beautiful,” he whispered, his breath fanning my face now.I wanted to say something, but my throat was completely clogged. My eyes were now flickering between his eyes and his lips.“You are like a mirage in the desert, princess. I want to touch you, but you go far when I think that you are in my reach.” He said huskily, his face tilting, leaning towards my neck.I felt a rise in his body temperature unde

Madeline’s P.O.V. (Continued)He still had the same posture, but I could feel that he was watching me. I wanted to say good night to him, but sensing his spoiled mood, I just took a deep breath and walked out of the bedroom.I was now wearing his t-shirt, which was oversized for me, and the hem was ending at my mid-thigh. Yet it felt weird, as I was wearing nothing inside the t-shirt.I stopped at the door of the suite and narrowed my eyes. How dare they sneak to this floor?“Alert all guards around the pack house. There is an intruder on the alpha’s floor.” I alerted all the guards around the pack house, including Nathan and Alpha Lucifer. Prince Sylvester was also on the same floor, but only two of his personal guards were allowed to be on this floor, but not at this hour.It meant that they knew I am here.“Where are you, Maddie?” Nathan immediately mind-linked me; the urgency in his voice was evident.“I am okay and safe, brother. Ensure Prince Sylvester’s safety first.” I replied

Nathan’s P.O.V.“We should stop sleeping or resting until they go back.” I muttered angrily while trying to relocate those shadow warriors.“Tell me something that I don’t know,” Adolphus asked with a bitter scoff. It had been three days that they are here and none of us got even a full four hours of sleep. We were exhausted and sleep deprived but keeping the pack safe for Prince Sylvester was keeping us vigilant.“We should take rest in turns. The way we have been losing our sleep, we will collapse soon,” Adolphus suggested with a grim expression.“Tell this to your parents. Only they can make a decision like this.” I scoffed and resumed reviewing the footage to find those damn Shadow Royal warriors.Finding a normal warrior isn’t a hard job but finding a shadow warrior….Synonym of impossible. They are trained from a very young age to stay hidden in shadows. They are trained to kill, not to save. They are masters in many forms of martial arts, have a good knowledge of both poisons a

Adolphus’s P.O.V. (Continued)“That pup is not our concern for now, love. If he or she is really here, our parents did a good job in hiding him or her all these years. Our concern right now is our warriors. I am still trying to understand the logic of attacking warriors.” I replied to her after regaining my composure.“Let’s go, Adolphus. We need to talk to our parents. If all the warriors from both the packs are attacked, then we need to alert all the packs, especially the royal pack. If they aren’t attacked here, then someone poisoned them there.” She said to me in a calm voice.“You are right.” I mumbled and took a deep breath. I didn’t move my hands from her shoulders when she stood up.We are alone in the room right now. I didn’t know what Nathan was thinking and why he went to dungeons, but I trusted him.I kissed her forehead, trying to inhale her scent as much as I could to keep myself sane and rational. Our night was beautiful, but those morons decided to ruin it for us.The
