Chapter 91

Nyx's POV When Kieran left, I was able to easily focus on what I was reading. I made sure my mind was focused, and I read voraciously. I had one of the omegas make me pancakes, and reading was easier with food. I changed positions quite a lot of times, but I kept reading. A particular battle that never ended caught my eyes. The battle of the Sea goddesses and the Moon goddess.'The Battle That Never Ended' was the title. The signs of the Sea Goddess’s wrath were unmistakable. Wherever their powers touched, decay followed. Green forests shriveled into lifeless husks. The air became thick with the stench of rot. Animals, once thriving, would wither away, their bodies sinking into the earth as if time had sped up their deaths. They carried the freshness of the ocean with them, even in death. Any aquatic creature, fish, whales, even the smallest sea crabs, remains fresh, untouched by decay, even when long dead. Rivers and lakes swelled unnaturally, fish washing up on the shores without

Chapter 92

Nyx's POV “Caleb…” I muttered, turning to look into his eyes. I thought I'd be confident when I look at him, but I was the exact opposite. I was scared and freaked out. “Long time, no see.” He smirked. “Thank you Zoe, you're now with us.” “What do you mean?” Zoe asked. “I can now leave with Ria.” “Oh love, I was never in danger. I love being here, and now you're with me, and we're united.” She smirked. “Zoe, you fool.” I hissed. “What do you want with me?” I asked Caleb, trying to steady my heart. “Nothing that concerns you, yet.” He smirked. “Let me be.” I said, almost like I was begging. “No. I'll take you.” “You wish.” I spat at him. “Take her with any means necessary, make sure she doesn't die.” I shifted into my wolf immediately. I didn’t hesitate. The moment Caleb gave the command, my body moved on instinct. A familiar surge of power rushed through me as I shifted, my bones snapped and reshaped, my muscles stretched as thick, blue fur covered my skin. My senses

Chapter 93

Kieran's POV Nyx was nowhere to be found. I ran outside, raised an alarm, and the whole pack house became the abode of chaos. After searching for several minutes, she was still nowhere to be found. “I smell blood,” Nicholas muttered, leading us to the trail of this blood stench. It led all the way to the backyard of the pack. I picked up the scent easily, and from there, tracking it wasn’t difficult. We followed the trail, moving further from the pack house and closer to the trees. The air grew heavy, filled with the lingering smells of blood and death. When we arrived, the sight before us was horrifying—lifeless wolves scattered across the ground. Their bodies lay still, the echoes of their last moments hanging in the air like a terrible memory. I inhaled deeply, trying to focus, and caught a fading trace of Nyx’s scent. It was there, but too weak to follow. It led nowhere, vanishing like a whisper in the wind. My body refused to move. My mind refused to think. The thought o

Chapter 94

Nyx's POV Every time I woke up and tried to fight back, Caleb or one of his men would knock me out again. It was a cruel cycle, one that left me feeling weaker each time. They weren’t careful with me, and they weren’t trying to keep me comfortable either. If anything, it felt like they didn’t care if I lived or died. Maybe they were just keeping me alive for now, but they sure weren’t making it easy. They hit me whenever they felt like it. A hard punch to my ribs, a slap across my face, a yank at my hair until my scalp burned. The pain never stopped. It got worse with each passing hour, each fresh wound layered on top of the last. My body ached all over, and I had lost count of how many times I had passed out, only to wake up and go through it all again. Through the haze of pain, my eyes always found Zoe. The girl I had once called my sister. The one I trusted more than anyone. She had traded me away, given me up for a sister who might never love her the way I did. And yet, she c

Chapter 95

Kieran's POV “Alpha, should we…?”“Don't worry, focus on what you're doing. I'll take this one for the team.” I said calmly, needing a violent escape from all these things."The radar just caught them. They're moving at a pretty fast rate," Jephta muttered.“Well, the faster they are, the quicker this ends,” I muttered.“Are you sure you don't need help, Alpha?” Nicholas asked.“No, I don't,” I said sharply. "Nicholas, ask around for packs that have been facing several attacks from rogues. I need to know if this is a general thing, or if we're being targeted.” “On it, Alpha.”“By the time I'm back, Jephta, you better have something,” I said sharply, and he nodded his head.I walked outside, and everyone else inside continued their jobs. Jephta's job was the most important, and he was focused on it before I left. They stopped a little after getting inside, and to make this quicker and more effective, I looked at all of them like they were Caleb.“Aren't you going to try to recruit u

Chapter 96

Nyx's POV I spent most of the night struggling against my chains, twisting my wrists, pulling, yanking, doing everything I could to break free. But no matter how hard I tried, they wouldn’t budge. The metal bit into my skin, cold and unyielding, refusing to give me even the slightest chance of escape. My arms ached from the effort, my muscles burning with exhaustion, but I couldn’t stop. I had to keep trying. I had to find a way out. Occasionally, hunger gnawed at my stomach, and I was forced to stretch my fangs just to reach the scraps of food left for me. It was a slow, miserable process, and every bite reminded me of how helpless I was in this place. Before, I had been free, strong, untouchable. Now, in one swift move, Caleb had taken it all away. The surrounding darkness was endless, swallowing everything. There were no windows, no cracks in the walls, no way to see outside. Time became meaningless. Minutes felt like hours, hours felt like days. I had no idea how long I had b

Chapter 97

Nyx's POV I stood up with just the cuffs in my hands, and I felt strong. There was just a thin kind between me, and escaping now. I walked to the windows, and the burglary proof was too strong for me to escape through. I'd eventually have to go through the front door, and hot wire a car to get me as far away from here as possible. I looked at my wrist and it was a little bloodied. I hissed, and focused my energy on the door. I crept closely to it, and just as I opened it, a wolf was passing by. He had the cuffs on my hands, and the blood on them.“She wants to escape!” He screamed out loud that even the dead would have heard him. I was too slow as I snapped his neck only after he had shouted. My heart pounded as the lifeless body of the wolf dropped to the floor. His scream had already done its damage. The entire pack would be on me in seconds. I had to move fast. I stepped over the corpse and bolted down the dark hallway. My bare feet barely made a sound against the cold floor.

Chapter 98

Kieran's POV “Magic?” I repeated.“Yes Alpha,” Blue said, taking over from Jephta. Jephta had always been terrible at explaining. “How?”“We just need nothing much from whatever the one that'd do it would ask of us,” Blue said. “Right now, it's the fastest way to track Luna Nyx if we really must meet her before she's harmed.”I thought about it for a few seconds, and I had no choice. I'd give my life just to be certain that she's alright. “So, what do you say, Alpha?” Jephta asked.“Nicholas, find a way to get hold of the Starweaver pack. They're definitely in close dealings with these motherfuckers.” I started. “And if it doesn't work out, Jephta, do your computer thing and get eyes and ears on that place.” “And everyone got ready, we leave for Gingrich in an hour,” I said, and they looked confused. “If I may ask, Alpha, why Gingrich?” Nicholas asked. “The best magician I know is literally there,” I said, and they squealed happily.“Alpha Daniel.” Blue nodded.“One hour, guys.”

Chapter 99

Nyx's POV I woke up with a head-splitting ache, the kind that made my skull feel like it was cracking open from the inside. A dull, throbbing pain pulsed at the back of my head, spreading like fire through my nerves. My body felt heavy, sluggish, as if I had been thrown into a deep pit of exhaustion and left there to rot. I tried to blink away the haze, but it did nothing. The place was dark. Even darker than the room where I had been kept before. This wasn’t just a lack of light, it was complete emptiness. A void. A prison made of shadows. I wasn’t chained this time. My wrists and ankles were free, but that didn’t bring me any relief. I was locked in. The walls pressed in around me, too close, too tight. A small space, barely enough to move. Like a box. I reached out, my fingers grazing cold, hard surfaces. Metal. Solid. Unforgiving. I pressed my palm flat against it, feeling the roughness beneath my skin. My breathing quickened. There were no windows. No cracks. No way to tel

Chapter 100

Kieran's POV We joined in the fight without asking questions. Alpha Daniel's side was overwhelmed by too many people, and we were fighting from the other. They fought with all they had, but it was clear they wouldn’t last much longer without help. “They're losing, Alpha.” Jephta muttered, like their salvation hadn't just walked in.“Not on my watch.” I growled.I let out a deep growl, and my body was already shifting as rage filled my veins. “Kill every last one of them!” I roared. My warriors didn’t hesitate. Jephta and Nicholas were the first to charge in, cutting through the enemy like blades through flesh. Blue was right behind them, using her claws tearing through their throats with ruthless efficiency. I wasted no time. A rogue came at me, with its teeth bared, and claws aimed for my neck. I dodged at the last second, grabbed his head, and twisted it violently. A sickening crack echoed through the air before his lifeless body hit the ground. Another one came at me f
