Third person's POV…“Her name was Aria," “Aria?" Aria asked, leaning forward."Yeah,” Alina nodded. "We named you after her. We were very identical, you could hardly tell us apart. But, we were raised in the wrong home. Our parents couldn't afford the hospital bills, so we were sold to a wealthy family. They needed a child and our parents needed money," Alina explained to them how everything transpired, up until the moment Miriam died while having a child. “Her husband, whom we thought was a good man and responsible man, abandoned her when complications arose. The man pressured her into bearing a child for him. We didn't know he was after her money, so he devised the scheme of wanting a child so bad so he could distract her,”"That's horrible,” Tracy muttered. "We didn't tell you guys about it because I… I…" she wiped a tear. “Talking about it just reminds me of how I lost my sister and my best friend," “We're sorry about that," Adrian and Aria stood up and went to her, leaving

Adrian's POV…I leaned on the door as soon as I shut it. I couldn't believe Tracy just lied to me. I heard everything she said over the phone with Aria. I didn't know what it was about exactly, but I knew it was something not good, since they didn't want me to know about it. I played along to know if she would tell me, but she lied. I sighed and went back to the kitchen. Days following that night, Tracy had been acting extra suspicious and secretive. She's always on a call with Aria and she's never around. Whenever I ask her about it, she'll give me the same excuse. “It's nothing. I'm just busy with building the members of my firm " that was always her reply. . I was beginning to get fed up from all the lies, but I still gave her the opportunities to tell me the truth. “Are you free this evening?" I asked her one morning over the phone. “Uhhh… I think I will. I have meeting with my staff members but I guess we'll be done before evening," “Okay. I'll pick you up tonight," “Ok

Tracy's POV… “Aria?" I screamed as I bursted inside her house. “Aria?" I screamed again, slamming the door. I was heading towards the stairs in search of her when I heard the kitchen door downstairs open. My chest was rising and falling as I tried to maintain composure. “Why are you screaming my name like that, dear sister in law?" She asked with a smile. I scoffed. “I don't think I'll be your sister in law any time soon," her brows furrowed in confusion. I bit my lips. “Adrian suspects something. In fact, he hates me now. He's calling our relationship off," “What?" Her eyes widened in surprise. “That's… um… how did he find out," “He's not stupid. I've been off lately and he senses that something is wrong and he asked me about it and guess what… I lied to him. We were supposed to go see a site yesterday evening, but I was out with you working. I lied to my mom that I was going on a date with him only to come back and see him in our shop," “No way," she hit her

Adrian's POV…I watched as she shifted uncomfortably on her chair. “What about her?" She asked nervously. "What did she tell you?” She asked again as she swallowed her food. "What?” I feigned a frown. "Is there something she's supposed to tell me?”"I… um… yes… I mean no. That's not what I meant to say," she paused and I raised a brow at her. I laughed softly. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “What happened this time? Did you both have an argument?" "No. Not really. But she's been acting off and suspicious,”"Suspicious?” She asked. "Yeah” I nodded. "She's changed and it's almost like I don't recognise her anymore,”"So?”I sat up and cleared my throat. "I want you to help me talk to her. Find out from her what's actually going on," “Come on Adrian. I don't think it'll be that serious. I mean, she must have had her reasons," “You keep saying that, every single time. If we're an item like we claimed, why can't she tell me about it then? Couples tell each other everyt

Tracy's POV…“Of course I still care about you," he paused. “But you're making things difficult here," “Why are you doing this?" “Come on Tracy, don't act dumb," he snapped. “You know I've always liked you. I've known you for more than a decade. Then I professed my feelings to you and you turned me down and left me for that billionaire,”"My response had nothing to do with Adrian. I didn't just feel anything for you," I spat. I saw how horrified he looked at me. He quickly masked it with a smile. “By the time I'm done with him, he'll realise that the worst mistake he made was coming near you," “What are you going to do to him? What are you planning?" I asked. "I'm not that stupid to tell you my plans," he said, glaring at me."What did you want?” I asked. "You know what I want,” he said and leaned down, his face inches away from mine. "I want you. I've always wanted you since the first day I laid my eyes on you,”I looked down immediately, but he was quick to use his index fing
