(Selene’s POV) The first thing I felt when I stirred awake was the warmth of the sunlight pressing down on me. I groaned softly, shutting my eyes tighter, my body not quite ready to face the day. Slowly, I adjusted, blinking against the brightness until the haze in my vision cleared out. And then I froze. Because when I turned to the side, Elijah was there.
