In My Godfather’s Bed のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 91 - チャプター 100

Enzo:I was pacing in front of the door when Tabitha stormed out. Her face looked pale, and she was out of breath. “Are you alright?” I asked, grabbing her shoulders and looking into her eyes. She looked stunned, unsettled; her body was trembling lightly. “I think I'm okay. I was just shocked, that's all. I over-reacted. I’m fine.”I knew she was lying, but I chose to ignore it. “And what about Nora? I saw the doctor enter the room.”“Yeah. He’s giving Nora an evaluation. Everything is fine.” She refused to meet my gaze and shrugged my hands off her shoulders. Something had happened. In less than three minutes, the door opened and the doctor came out. He had Nora’s chart in hand, and his eyes fell on Tabitha, but immediately he saw me, he looked away. “Mr. Ross, Nora is in good health. We are still monitoring her healing, but everything seems to be going according to plan, and she should be able to leave this place in a couple of days.”I nodded, not really paying attention to

Enzo:The morning was warm… too warm. I stretched, and my chest pressed against something warm and soft. The sun wasn’t yet up, but I could still see her silhouette. I couldn't resist running my hands along her smooth, curvy body. My fingers grazed the stitches slightly, and she groaned a little, stirring in her sleep. We didn’t have sex. We just lay there, naked in each other's arms. The night was cold, but her body was pleasantly soft and warm. It was a treat. I rolled out of bed, and she stirred a little more. I watched her with a smile as she got comfortable and fell still again. It was Saturday, and as if on cue, my phone lit up in the darkness on the dressing table. It was a reminder of the dinner I was supposed to have with Natasha. A groan escaped my lips. I had mentioned it to Tabby last night, and she wasn’t as upset as I imagined she would be. If anything, she seemed quite excited, with a glint in her eyes. A mischievous glint. I chuckled as I remembered it. In the dark

Tabitha:I wasn’t sure how long I had been lying on the bed. The tears had stopped, and my body ached. I sat up and saw the sheets on the floor. The quiet of the mansion got to me, and I imagined the worst. “Enzo. No…”I got up from the bed and opened the door slightly. It creaked, and my breath caught in my throat. The silence amplified it, and it seemed to echo throughout the hallway. It was quiet. There was no noise from the kitchen, and I slowly headed downstairs. I thought that I would see Enzo or the chef hurt on the kitchen floor, but I was wrong. Enzo sat at the dining table, coffee in hand and breakfast on his plate. I saw him flinch as soon as I came downstairs, but he didn’t even look at me. He took another bite of the toast in front of him and continued to act like I wasn’t there. My heart skipped a beat. He was mad at me, and it was all my fault. I should have said something. I should have been honest about what had actually happened, but it was a mistake. I knew it was

Tabitha:Emily bugged me on the phone for almost an entire hour and even offered to come visit me. I declined repeatedly, which made her feel almost offended. “You nearly died, and you don’t want me to see you. It’s serious, isn’t it? You don’t want me to see you because the injury is so serious. Tell me the truth, are you going to die?”“No, Emily. I am not going to die. I am fine. I just need some rest. I promise I will come see you when I am all better.”“You promise?”“I do. I have to go now. I promise I will keep in touch with you.”The call finally ended, and I lay on the sofa with a smile on my face. It was nice talking to her; it made everything that had happened today feel a lot lighter. But the lightness was short-lived. It didn’t take long for my chest to cave in. Enzo was still mad at me. It was almost noon, and I still hadn’t heard from him. Normally, the chef would have come around to prepare lunch, but after the fiasco this morning, I was highly doubtful that he was co

Tabitha:I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed. My dress and my hair didn’t look so perfect anymore. I looked tired and depressed. This was certainly not the look that I wanted to carry into see Nanatsha, but what could I really do about it? My phone sat on the dressing table, the screen was faced down. I couldn’t bear to see another notification. The thought already made my stomach churn uncomfortably. I still couldn’t believe that Ryan was dead. I knew that if he was still alive and we went through with the court case, he was going to spend time in jail, but I didn’t believe that he would die. The thought never crossed my mind. His face when I saw him that day still plagued me. He looked so scruffy and unkempt. He used to look so handsome and young, and now he looked like he had aged ten years in just a few weeks. “Enough brooding, Tabitha,” I muttered to myself and looked at the time on my phone. It was 7:30 p.m. It was time to leave. I headed downstairs, trying to keep m
