Lisa’s POV The witch raised the blade slowly, savoring my fear. Its surface shimmered unnaturally, dark like obsidian, but humming with something worse- wolfsbane. I knew that smell anywhere. Mixed with silver, it could cut deeper than just flesh. It could kill a wolf’s spirit. I gritted my teeth and prepared for pain, imagining the sword plunging into my chest, into my heart. But it didn’t. Instead, she placed it lightly on my shoulder. At first, I felt nothing. Then, searing agony. It was as if fire licked my skin, burning through layers of muscle, branding itself into my bones. I screamed. My body writhed against the invisible force pinning me down, but I couldn’t move. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t even shift. My wolf howled inside me, but it was helpless. The witch leaned in, whispering into my ear with a wicked purr, "Let's see how you can escape. Lisa's POVThe first thing I felt was the cold, not the heat from the healer's hut. Sort of made me wonder if she kept me outside to sleep.The cold bit into my skin, crawled down my bones. My head throbbed, heavy and fogged. When I tried to sit up, my eyes still closed and heavy with sleep or should I say weakness, I felt metal clinked around my hands like chains. My eyes widened immediately to see my wrists and ankles were bound with thick iron shackles secured to the stone walls.Panic flooded me, and my heart pounded hard within my chest.I struggled, twisting hard, my strength failing me. My wolf, she was there, I could feel her, but she was quiet, distant, like she was being smothered.What… what happened? What was I doing here? And more importantly, what happened to my strength? This questions swirled in my head.I remembered eating the stew that the healer gave to me and then nothing, I don't remember any other thing. I don't even know how I got here.
