Chapter 111

IRIS’ POV. As soon as Alpha Kael had placed Princess Adessa on his horse, he climbed and sat on her back as well before he gave a signal to Draco that they had better go. Without any more words, our horses turned around without us glancing at Felicity. And then silence ruled the air except for the soft whisper of wind through the trees and along the bushes and the sound of the horse’s hooves tapping on the ground. “Are you okay?” Draco asked, and this time I didn’t stop myself from turning halfway and hugging him. I was seated sideways in front of him so it was easy to place my arms around his body. “I am now. Thank you…”“Thank you for what?” “For looking at me when I know it must be difficult to look away from her. For defending me when I got tongue-tied and I cowered in her presence.”“Didn’t I promise you before I took you home that I would protect you, even from Felicity? I have no plans on breaking that promise. I must admit her scent drew me to her, but I also saw you behi

Chapter 112

IRIS’ POVThe whole morning I spent with the princess turned out really well, even the part where Felicity was involved. I couldn’t thank Princess Adessa enough for standing up for me. I realized I was more confident in facing Felicity when it was just the two of us, but when there were people around, I would cower.Perhaps because, based on experience, they would always find a way to twist my words, and I would always end up in the wrong. I knew I needed to find my own voice and stand for myself because the princess and Draco would not always be around to stand up for me. Draco and I didn’t discuss the incident with Felicity, as he was more curious about my fascination for botany. After we parted ways with the royal couple, we ate lunch together, and then he took me to the library on the second floor of the manor. He then began asking me questions about when I began my love for the plants. I felt Draco wanted to get to know me because at the end of the conversation, he promised th

IRIS' POV.After that, the party proceeded. Although we didn’t get to spend time with the couple, they waved and smiled at us from time to time. But through everything that was happening, I could tell Draco was not in the mood anymore. “Are you okay?” I asked. We were alone and sitting at one of the bars around. He drank all the rum in his glass before setting it on the counter. “He keeps looking at you the whole fucking time.”My heart thundered at his words, and when I looked around, I did see Prince Esmond talking with a group of people, but he was looking at us — at me. And he smiled, raising a cocktail glass in my direction. He was smiling at me as if he were single and I was not with Draco. I ignored him and put my gaze back on Draco, who also saw that. “Where the fuck is Felicity? Why isn’t she tying up her husband around her neck?” Draco grunted. “Prince Esaiah asked him earlier, and he said she wasn’t feeling well, so she decided not to join him.”“If I didn’t promise Ka

Author's Note

THIS NOTE IS FREE and should not cost you any coins. My beautiful butterflies and little birds, For those who haven't read The Forgotten Luna / The Royal Luna—ignore this author's note and just carry on with the next chapters. But for those who had finished Kael and Adessa's book, this note is for you.A part of the next chapter was taken from the epilogue of The Forgotten/Royal Luna. I had reworked it specifically to cater to this book. I added so much more and removed spoilers for that book so you would only hear Adessa's thoughts about Kael, and things related to Iris and Draco. I had also added a surprise addition, a part that I knew some of you were wishing was there in their epilogue. Although I will not update the epilogue of The Forgotten/Royal Luna to include this, that part will be added once TFL/ TRL is printed in paper back format and made available on A m a z o n K i n d l e next year (2026).Also, I was able to request to make the next three chapters into one, which

Chapter 114

LUNA PRINCESS ADESSA.I stood before the massive double door of the Royal Cathedral, waiting for it to open to welcome me inside the church, where Kael, my fated mate, waited for me. I couldn’t help the tears welling up in my eyes. We had finally come to this. A wedding. And it was as grand as anyone could imagine. Our first wedding was simple. Only a few guests were invited, and all of them were related to Kael. I had no one on my side—no family, no friends. But this time, I had the presence of every important person in my life.My mother and father had already walked ahead and would wait for me halfway through the aisle. Lacey, my beautiful niece, was my flower girl. She walked alongside Landon, as she refused to walk down on her own during rehearsals. Gabe was our ring bearer. He was here with his grandmother, Erika, but his mother, Sasha, was not invited. Yes, I still hadn’t forgiven Sasha. I knew what she did had led to a better outcome, where Draco discovered my power. It ma

Chapter 115

Draco’s POV.Iris was asked to be among the women who would gather to catch the princess’ bouquet. She hesitated at first, but I encouraged her to join. “What if I catch the bouquet?” She asked innocently, her eyes beaming at me as she tried to read my reaction. “Then it’s a sign we are getting a blessing from the Kingdom of Absalom. But even if you don’t, we are still pushing through with our marriage. No one can stop us from doing that.” I tapped the tip of her nose. She looked so fucking adorable that I wanted to bite her nose. She smiled widely before she pecked my lips. “That’s all I want to hear, that you’re still mine, whatever the outcome is.” She whispered as she loosened her hold on my hand and stepped back.“I’m yours,” I mouthed at her, making her smile wider. I watched her walk away from me as she eventually joined the rest of those who would participate. The wedding was a black-tie affair, and women were requested to wear dark-colored dresses so only the princess woul

Chapter 116

DRACO’S POV. “Me too...”Her eyes watered as she spoke softly. “I love you, Draco…”Time stood still and everyone else around us vanished. I heard what she said and I knew I should say the words back because in the short time that I was with her, I had never felt like this with anyone in my life. I wasn’t sure if this was love, but my day begins and ends with thoughts of her, and there was no one I would rather wake up to or fall asleep with but just her. Without knowing it, Iris had clearly become my whole universe. But I was terrified of the word “love,” because I knew how it could ruin someone. And the last person I wanted to ruin was the girl standing before me, who fit perfectly in my arms. “Excuse me, Alpha Draco, Luna Iris…” A voice rang in the air and it snapped me back to the present, saving me from myself. “Danielle…” Iris greeted her before she rested her head on my torso. She was really drunk. “Sorry to interrupt you. But the princess is asking if you have time to mee

Chapter 117 - PART 2 BEGINS HERE

PART 2: THE DARK FAE LUNAIRIS’ POV“Oh, you have it! I forgot I have a bag!” I giggled as Draco handed me my pouch. He looked so handsome that I wanted to kiss him, but Danielle was around, so I had to control myself. So instead, I made my way to the nearest restroom. My head felt light or was it heavy? I couldn’t explain it, but I felt like I was floating in the air. All I knew was that I was happy — so happy because soon, I would become Mrs. Harrison. I knew my wedding wouldn’t be as grand as Adessa’s, and I was not dreaming of that kind. All I wanted was for Draco to be there beside me. And I also hoped he would let me mark him. He told me about the difference between the woman’s mark and the man’s mark and why most Alphas never wanted to be marked. I was actually grateful that Draco explained it and didn’t hide it from me. So I was hoping he would trust me to mark him. He said the haze would be crazy — and to be honest again, I got excited. A thousand times horny Draco wo

Chapter 118

IRIS' POV.“Iris!” The door flew open and Draco came in. “What happened? Are you okay?” I kept shaking my head and he held my elbow, harshly pulling me up but I was able to grab my diary from the floor along with me. “Chriselda and Felicity were here. I tried my best not to make a scene. Did you hear me shouting from outside? Did the king hear it?” I asked as my tears fell. “No. No. No.” He kept shaking his head. “No one heard anything. No one knows what happened in here.”My shoulders were shaking. I was trying not to cry but I couldn’t help the tears falling from my eyes. “Iris, look at me.” He grabbed my cheeks and urged me to meet his eyes. “Look at me, Little Bird.”“Draco…”“Relax. I’m here. Breathe in, breathe out.” He was breathing slowly and I followed his lead. “Good girl. Now relax. They will not harm you, and I will never let you out of my sight again.”“Don’t leave me again.”“No. Never again. I won’t let them take you away from me.” He pulled my face closer to him.

Chapter 119

DRACO'S POV.Once I exited the ballroom hallway, I hid in the corner and helped Iris to stand on her feet. Carrying her would only draw attention to us. I pulled my coat from my body and wrapped it around her. We didn’t have an opportunity to take her trench coat from the wardrobe area, but I wanted her wrapped with something, as her body still felt warmer than usual. I grabbed her hand, and we walked hand in hand, heading to valet parking. If I hadn’t heard what Lady Adelaine said or known the things Danielle shared, I would assume nothing was going on because everything looked normal. No one was rushing or running, and the people around, especially the staff, continued to act normally.I was hoping that whatever she felt and sensed, she would assume it was just a false alarm and would not conduct a manhunt, so we had time to leave the perimeter without being interrogated. I requested a car to drive us back to the manor. We were both silent inside the car, but I didn’t let go of he
