“I’m going to make your life a living hell for the next nine months, you whore. Everyone thinks I brought you here to make you my wife. So yeah, I’ll have to have you play the fucking part for the next time period. Have you hanging off my arm like a trophy. Just for the sake of fucking appearances.”He balled his hands into fists.“And then I’ll have you die in a tragic accident, as far as everybody else is concerned. As soon as I’ve dealt with the fucking father. Buried him six feet under where he belongs. Along with the bastard child.”His veins pulsated their way onto the surface of his skin alarmingly.“I’ll keep you well fed. Enough to keep the fucking baby alive,” he snarled. “But unless you have to come outside on business meetings with me, or if people come to visit us here in the mansion… That’s the only time you’re leaving this room. Otherwise, I’m fucking locking you in here. All you’ll do is eat, sleep, shower. Fucking rot for all I care.”And then he spat on me…Before t

“Yeah, well…” I broke off my sentence, shaking my head. “Things changed.”“Come on, baby. You’ve come all this way,” she murmured, closing the gap between us. “Don’t waste it. Don’t be like this. You know you want me.”She bit her lip seductively, her eyes flashing with lust and darkening with desire, as she continued to try and make advances on me.But I couldn’t pay attention to her. There was only one person on my mind…And I knew that there were some things I needed to do in order to put my mind at rest.So I turned on my heel, walking out of Concetta’s apartment, and began to drive away, the engine roaring…Leaving her dithering in my wake.CHAPTER 21LORENZOClosure.That was what I needed.I didn’t care about business right now.I certainly didn’t care about the fucking mafia right now.I was born into the mafia life.It had all been a choice.Every mistake I’d made in my life.Every bad road I’d driven on, every path I’d taken to reach my destination as Capo.I knew that my m

“Just give me a few more days. I’m working on it!” he pleaded in his own defense.“I don’t fucking think so. I’ll look for it myself since you’re that fucking incompetent at your job.”I snatched his laptop off of him, hard, and his pupils dilated in terror.“No!” he screamed. “Fuck! Don’t go on my laptop!”I widened my eyes incredulously, wondering what the hell his deal was today.“Why not?” I barked, feeling like punching him in the face.“Because…” he swallowed.“Because what?”He hurled at me, in an attempt to knock the laptop out of my hands, but I kept my grasp on it firm. What the fuck was he hiding?I staggered to my feet, dusting myself off, coughing repeatedly.“Fucking hell, Ricky. Back off!” I sneered.“Trust me, you don’t wanna look at it!” he yelled.I furrowed my eyebrows, before steadying myself, darting my eyes to the computer screen. And what I saw…Made my blood run cold.Made my world stop spinning around me.CHAPTER 24LORENZOAmber was dead.I couldn’t believe

I could feel my heart shatter into millions of tiny pieces, at just the sheer thought of having this baby without Lorenzo by my side.A baby that was half me…And half the man that I loved. But I knew that there was nothing I could do to stop this fucked-up situation from playing itself out.Agron was a sadistic motherfucker…And he always got his own fucking way.I sighed to myself exhaustedly, before getting up on my feet, needing to get changed just like he’d ordered me to.All I could do was follow his orders, if I knew what was good for me…Because if I didn’t, I knew that he would hurt me.I didn’t want any harm to come to the baby.I’d only learnt about it recently, but I’d already grown so attached to it.Attached to the thought of me being a mother…Carrying Lorenzo’s child.A sweet, special child.Even if Lorenzo wasn’t in my life anymore.CHAPTER 28LORENZO “It’s been such a long time that you’ve been sat in your bedroom now, Lorenzo,” Ricky said uneasily, as he made his w
