Damon's POV I made my way to the room to check on my son and Amelia was there with him. She was sitting on the seat in front of the baby's cot and rocking the baby in her arms. A smile stretched on my lips as I watched the two of them, my family. Our son was already sleeping in her arms and she was watching him with a frown on her face. My brows furrowed at her countenance, I wondered what was going on in her head and why she would be staring at our son in that manner. I cleared my throat noisily, hoping to get her attention, but she didn't stir. She was oblivious to my presence and still had that malicious glare in her eyes. Melody's POV My eyes fluttered open, and I was surprised to see myself lying on the floor in the middle of the forest. I sprang up to my feet and a sharp pain shot up my spine at the movement. I held my stomach as I glanced about the unknown place.Where was I? How did I end up here? There was no sign of any living being around me and that made me worried. My stomach rumbled hungrily and I groaned lightly, smacking my lips to soothe my parched throat. Then it hit me, my child. I remembered pushing with all my might until he was safely delivered, after which I blacked out but waking up now, I couldn't seem to recall what had happened after then. Kade's POV Lucian continued walking like I had not just threatened him, making me watch his retreating figure in fury. I could feel the rage coursing through my veins as I thought about the contents of that letter and how my mate was connected to it. I could not shake off the disturbing thought that Lucian might have sensed what I was planning and that whatever arrangements he was making with the beta would ruin my plans which I have struggled so hard to come this far. I was so close to my goal, which was taking my mate out of that pack. As a matter of fact, I was at the final step and had made preparations to meet with her as discreetly as possible. I don't plan on taking her away in the open as that would attract Damon's attention to me and if Damon found out that my plan was to elope with his Luna, he would definitely react in the most negative way and that would make Lucian be aware of my plan too. Amelia's POV I watched my father and mate leave the mansion with mixed feelings. I wondered what my father would say after what he had witnessed between us. Knowing that he would like to speak with me later, I went up to my room to rest for some time while waiting for him to finish his conversation with Kade. My mind drifted back to our time together and a smile stretched across my lips. I loved how he looked at me, especially when we kissed. His touch was magical and seemed to awaken every fiber in me with just a little contact. He was everything I ever wanted but I can only hope that we would be together after all this chaos.The door to my room pushed open a few minutes later and my father walked in with a huge smile on his face.
