Chapter 11Seraphim I reluctantly followed Beta Tony as we both headed to the Alpha's study office. I had no choice since I was under punishment and I wanted to question him why I was being punished. “I heard she hid a man in her room.”“ The audacity for her to come from her pack risked her life for the bride selection only to hide a man inside her room.” “What a slut!” “Just her sight pissed the heck outta me!” I heard the two ladies say among themselves as they passed beside me.They made sure to say it right to my face. But I wasn't even moved by their words. After all, they never mentioned my name or came to my face to say it directly to me. “You go inside, Miss Seraphim,” he said the moment we got to the entrance of the study room. “Why ain't you going inside, beta? And is it okay for me to stay inside his study room alone?” I asked suspiciously looking at the man. “ Yes, you should head inside. I have something else that requires my full attention, Miss Seraphim,” he sai

Chapter 13Silas Deane He looked like he was on the edge of fainting anytime soon.. He dared to sign a deal with the raven pack with the aim that he would successfully make his daughter my bride just because of his greed for wealth and connection. Even though they're two people, Elder August and Elder Grey, Elder August would serve as a scapegoat to others.“Elder August, please read out the letter. And if you can't read it, let your guard do the reading for you.” I ordered coldly.I signalled to the guard standing beside him, and he understood the assignment almost immediately. He took the letter from Elder August before starting to unwrap the envelope. The panic among the elder August grew more and more every moment. Elder August, what exactly is going on in your pack? My daughter sent a message to say that she almost got eliminated because of her dress code. This wasn't our agreement, and don't forget we have a deal and it'll always remain a deal. The guard bowed respectfully th

Chapter 15Seraphim DAYS went by and it was finally the first day of the bride selection. I heard the competition will be tougher than anything else. We're more than twenty in number but about four people have been eliminated. Three ladies got eliminated by Michelle, while the last four ladies ‘ elimination was unknown and a little bit strange to everyone, I guess. Everyone stood inside the hall, waiting for an announcement to be made while trying to familiarize themselves. But as usual, since I have once been in the center of attention days ago, I figured out no one wants to familiarize themselves with me.And if some are permitted, they wouldn't hesitate to bully me. I could only stay at the far end of the hall with my eyes closed trying to meditate. Not too long, I felt the presence of some three ladies in front of me, even though I was meditating, I could still see their feet. But I acted like I wasn't aware of their presence hoping to at least save myself from whatever trouble

Chapter 17Seraphim I followed the guard, trailing behind him as he led me to the Alpha courtyard. I was on my way to my room when I was stopped by the guard who claimed my attention was needed in the man's courtyard, and who am I to decline that?Along the way, my mind drifted back to the three ladies who were eliminated today. I could remember them weeping and you wallowing in pain as they got eliminated instantly and were told to leave the pack with immediate effect. And that makes it more competitive than it could be for me tomorrow or any time. Minutes later, the moment we got to the entrance of the courtyard. The Alpha's beta, Tony was standing there guarding the entrance. “Miss Seraphim is here, Beta,” he announced my presence as he bowed respectfully to the man.“You can leave. I'll take it from here,” Beta Tony said, and the guard made his way out almost immediately, leaving me and the man.I folded my arms against my chest, staring intensely at the man as he stared at me

Chapter 19Seraphim THE FOLLOWING WEEK The competition has been immense, with each and every onee struggling to survive. Luckily for me, I was able to survive the second-to-last competition. A lot of contestants have been eliminated, woefully leaving us with just nine ladiand me, making us ten. Even though the game is yet to commerce, even with just the look of things, it's obvious five people will be eliminated. Minutes later, the queen mother walked inside with the guards behind her and instructed us to gather at the clearing. Throughout the competition, the woman has not only shown how wise she is, but also shown kindness. She began explaining the rules while I stood still watching her from afar with admiring eyes as she spoke confidently. Her words carried weight as she let out those words.“Today, you will face off against each other in a test of strength, strategy, and cunning. The test is to emerge victorious and prove yourself worthy of the bride position. Each and every o
