Chapter 17

Seraphim

I followed the guard, trailing behind him as he led me to the Alpha courtyard. I was on my way to my room when I was stopped by the guard who claimed my attention was needed in the man's courtyard, and who am I to decline that?

Along the way, my mind drifted back to the three ladies who were eliminated today. I could remember them weeping and you wallowing in pain as they got eliminated instantly and were told to leave the pack with immediate effect.

And that makes it more competitive than it could be for me tomorrow or any time.

Minutes later, the moment we got to the entrance of the courtyard. The Alpha's beta, Tony was standing there guarding the entrance.

“Miss Seraphim is here, Beta,” he announced my presence as he bowed respectfully to the man.

“You can leave. I'll take it from here,” Beta Tony said, and the guard made his way out almost immediately, leaving me and the man.
