Leon looked away sharply. His heart rate spiked. He could not believe it. This was Evan Mathews. Why did he not recognize him sooner? If he did, he would have abandoned him faster than he could breathe."Stop the car," Leon said. That hospital Evan had mentioned must be his territory. Leon was not stupid enough to go into Evan's territory again. He wanted nothing to do with him."What?" The driver asked, "We are not at the hospital yet.""Stop the car!" Leon practically shouted. The driver stopped and Leon got out quickly and shut the car behind him."Take him to the hospital. I have to go," he said, throwing a stack of cash into the car."What? I am not an ambulance!" The driver protested."I will add some extra. Send him to that Saint Patrick's hospital he had said. If you send him anywhere else, it's on you. Bye," Leon said and dashed away. What happens to Evan Matthews is not his business and will never be his business. Leon flagged another taxi and left quickly. The driver of the

Jason got up and waved the guards away. They hesitated, but still left after a while, returning to guarding the door. "Jason, who are those people? Did they come with you?" Jessie asked. "Yeah. Sorry about them. This new client...anyway, it's a sensitive matter. The client provided guards," Jason lied very easily. "Guards? Are you in danger?" Leon asked, taking his seat. "What kind of job needs security?" Kayla asked. "That's corporate law for you. You would not believe the secrets companies are hiding. Anyway, I not in danger. It's pretty normal in this line of work," he said. No matter how much he lied, he was assured that there was no way they could find out the standard for corporate lawyers. "That is good to hear." Kayla said. "At this point, shouldn't you have just stayed in the prosecutor's office?" Jessie asked. "True, leas drama. Men in dark suits scare the shit out of me," Leon muttered. "Not much difference. Prosecutors are pursued by thug, gangs, corporations, eve

Leon was shocked for a few seconds. He could not believe what was happening. The one night stand could be excused as a drunken mistake and in his case, he was actually under the influence of drugs. But looking at Jason above him, Marcus could feel the anger rolling off Jason from his heated gaze. It was so different from the heated gaze he had always dreamed of.For a second, both men stared at each other. Jason waited for an answer, while Marcus seemed to be enjoying the sight of Jason above him."You dream of me, Jason?" Marcus said, swallowing loudly. Jason paused at the tone of Marcus' voice. For a second, he almost thought Marcus was aroused."You sure are a good liar, Marcus." Jason said."Why are you so sure I am lying to you? You have no memory. You said this yourself. What you recall might be your mind pricing together reality and fiction," Marcus said."True, I have no memory of what I see in my dreams, but you are a reoccurring element in each dream. This tells me there is more to our
