Jason huddled under a thick blanket hiding from the cold. The air conditioner blasted cold wind into the room as though trying to compete with the storm raging outside his window. The low noise from the TV soon sang him to sleep. It was deep into the night when he opened his eyes again. The room was dark and the TV had gone off, and the storm outside had long calmed down.
