Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Bodyguard’s Secret Vow : Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

Callum’s POV“I don't need a babysitter,” I pouted, glaring at my business partner, Adam who also doubled as my best friend. He chuckled and shrugged. “I said bodyguard Callum not a babysitter,” “It's the same thing,” I whispered, thoroughly annoyed. He narrowed his eyes and his expression grew serious. “This isn't up for debate Callum. I already spoke to a few of my contacts and you'd be getting a bodyguard soon.”“But…” I started to protest but he cut me off. “This is the third accident, Callum.” he sighed. "The third one in the last two weeks. It's not ordinary,” I leaned back against the pillow as memories of the last two accidents flashed in my mind. Initially I had blamed my driver's recklessness and fired him because he had crashed into the other car after taking his eyes off the road. Then the second one happened and Adam blamed me for firing another driver. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice… I thought I had been setting the bar for others to follow. Joe had b

Roman's POV ‘Where did that come from?’ I wondered as I avoided his gaze and stared at Adam. Seeing the amused look on Adam's face, I scowled and finally met Callum's shocked gaze. “That was a joke right?” He asked although he didn't look as opposed to the idea as I thought he'd be. I snickered. “Let me guess, you don't mind the idea,” He snorted and looked away. “I don't. How could you even think of such a horrible idea?” “Well it was a joke and clearly you can't take one.” I rolled my eyes. Had that really been a joke? I asked myself as I tried to avoid staring at the two men in front of me. Silence ensued between us and each of us were lost in our thoughts until….“What if it's not such a horrible idea?” Adam mused and I whipped my head in surprise. “What are you even saying?” Callum asked, his voice slightly raised and panicky. “Yeah,” I chimed in. “I said it was a joke,” Adam nodded. “Maybe so but it could work.” He started to explain. “Callum has never been seen in pu

Roman’s povAdam slid the papers across the desk like he was passing me some treasure map. But it wasn’t treasure. Not even close. It was a fat stack of legal bullshit with Callum’s name all over it, tidy and smug as him.“Take a look”, Adam said, adjusting his tie like the room wasn’t already choking in here.I glanced at Callum. He sat there like he owned not just the building, but also, by right, the central air I was breathing. The expensive-sharp black suit, that dumb bored expression with his arm tossed effortlessly over the back of his chair… as if he couldn’t be arsed. And me? I was hanging onto the papers for dear life.It was a sodding NDA. Worse… it was a contract. A marriage contract. Married to Callum. For an entire year.I swallowed, flicking through the pages, legal jargon trapping me beneath them like a pair of weights.Adam cleared his throat. “It’s all standard, Roman. Nothing to cause any concern – just a few stipulations to make sure Callum’s name is kept untarnis

Callums pov“You heard me,” Adam said, not flinching. “You complain Roman doesn’t know his place, but isn’t that why he works? Isn’t that what you really need in your life? Someone who won’t bow to you just because you’re Callum.”My mouth dried up.Adam gave me one of those looks. The kind that made you think he’d reached out and smacked the words right from your mouth. “The real reason you’re scared,” he said, “isn’t Roman or anything to do with him. You’re scared of what happens if you let him in.”“What kind of name is Roman Cruz anyway?” I muttered, turning away, grabbing at the papers on the desk like I had something important to do. “Sounds like some cheap action hero from a bad movie.”Adam groaned. “Christ, you are impossible.”“And yet here you are.”He rolled his eyes but didn’t argue. Instead his voice softened, almost pleading. “Callum. Stop being a dickhead. For once in your fucking life, just… try. Try to sort things out with him. Because like it or not, your existence

Roman’s pov“Look, I’m resting. I am no machine.”“You’re supposed to be working. Not—” he shot me an expression of such distaste, it curled his lip “—whatever it is you think you are.”“I’m not a machine,” I repeated, keeping the calm in my voice even as my pulse redlined on fury. “We’re business partners now, like I said. And today’s meeting wasn’t just a formality, Callum.” My breath was hot and fast in my chest, adrenaline firing too early into my system. “It’s called a contract—you know? Legally binding? So no more ordering me around like your personal foot soldier.”“The hell. This entire arrangement—this… façade—was your idea, but this is my company, my reputation on the line. You think a signature suddenly makes you my equal? Don’t delude yourself.”I couldn’t help it—I laughed, low and rough. “There it is. The billionaire ego. God forbid someone doesn’t bow to the almighty Callum West.”“Don’t twist this,” he snapped, his voice escalating, snapping that fake calm facade he ha
