His Second Husband のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 41 - チャプター 50

Silas’s povAll I could see was red. I just wanted to tear Julian apart. I started to backtrack on how we had gotten to this point where I had punched him across the jaw and had him sprawled out on the ground.I thought back to the first meeting I had with Nathan after telling him of how I wanted the investigation to be. Then the second one that happened the next day of him giving me the file of Julian being the murderer of Emery. Of course, I didn’t want to believe him, so I told him to make more investigations. And since that first month to this sixth month, all he had done was investigate Julian. And every single file that had been brought back to me were all about how Julian was a terrible person and how Julian was the one responsible for Emery’s murder.I wanted so bad to kill him. Every single kiss that we gave each other, every single smile that he gave me and I gave him was all fake. He had been the reason I had suffered all these years and all this time I had been blaming mys

Silas’s povThe moment I got home I slammed the car door shut behind me and tumbled up the main stairs to the house.I sighed and opened the door as I found Walter there.“Get out, all of you,” I said, with my speech being slurry. My butler came to help me as I shoved him aside. “I said leave.”I shouted to the maids who were terrified. They saw the bottle in my hand. As I saw it was empty, I groaned and tossed it to the ground as it shattered.“Clean that up before you go.”I stumbled to the bar to fix a drink for myself with a sigh. I downed my whiskey and set the glass down as my butler came behind me.“Master, can we talk?”I turned to him. “What do you want me to say to you, Walter? Do you want to be fired?”“No, sir. I just wanted to talk to you based on the recent events that have happened.”“It’s none of your business.”“Sir, it might not be my business, but you are my business. And I don’t like seeing you like this.”“Walter, what are we?”“Sir?” he asked in confusion as I sm

Silas’s povThe next morning I woke up with a slight headache as I tried to calm my raging pain down.“Fuck,” I muttered, sitting at the edge of the bed. Today was going to be another shitty day and I had to take it carefully before I would do things I regretted.I got up and stretched then got into the shower, removed my clothes that I had slept with, and turned on the shower. The water hit me as I felt the cold taking away my sins and the intoxication I had felt since last night. I felt okay.I stayed there for a while before getting out and cleaning my body.Standing in front of the mirror, I took in my exhausted look. My eyes were bloodshot and looked weary. Even with eight hours of sleep I still felt tired. It does something to a man. Having to find out his partner killed his former one. It destroys something in him.I soon dressed up and got out as I found my maids cleaning about. Soon, my breakfast was brought as I sat down at the dining table to eat while Walter came to join m

Silas’s pov“Look, don’t lie to me. The truth is already out. You might as well just come clean and tell the cops exactly what you know.”He scoffed. You don’t get it, Silas. I’ve told you countless times, I’m not the one who killed Emery. You keep on trying to frame me.”My instinct took over as I banged my hand on the table and growled at him.“I am not trying to frame you. You committed a crime. All I want is for you to tell me who did. That’s all. Just tell me who did.”“I don’t know…”“Bullshit.” I started looking away from him. “You did it. I have all the evidence to prove it.”He smiled. “And these evidences were gotten from your spies, I suppose. Which, last time I checked, spies were illegal in this part of the country.”“Not when I’m trying to find out my husband’s murderer.”“And you think it was me. God… you’re pathetic.”I leaned back in my seat. “Let’s say I believe you. Let’s say you’re not the one who killed Emery. It’s a very big stretch, but let’s just say that I tot

Ken’s povI sat there drinking as he left me. I smiled, although I felt a bit bad that he wasn’t coming to me. I did feel hurt that he had gone to get married to whatever trash Julian had crawled out of. Because how could Silas leave me and go for Julian? Who was Julian?I remembered the past and what I had done to get Emery out of the picture.Suddenly, my phone rang as I picked it up.“Hello?”“We need to talk,” a masculine voice said over the phone, as I scoffed.“That’s not how you talk to your boss. I pay you good money to keep you alive…”“And keep your secret alive.”I looked around the bar to see if he was in here or maybe he had sent one of his little minions after me.“Are you threatening me?” Now I was scared because who did he think he was?“No, I’m not. But if you don’t show up, I might be inclined to release a bit of your news.”I then got out of the stool I was sitting on and paid for my tab.“Where?” I asked through gritted teeth.“You know where.”With that, he cut th
