Lucien’s pov“Get her to the infirmary. Now!”Professor Mirelda’s voice slices through the confusion like broken glass.My arms tighten around Aria’s trembling body. Her head falls back, her lips pale, her eyes rolling in and out of focus. The sound that comes out of her throat is not a scream anymore, it is like a groan.The smell of burnt herbs fills the room, someone knocks over a cauldron, the purple smoke curls in the air, thick and choking. Isla’s voice breaks through the noise, shaking. “Aria, please, wake up. Come on, please.”I lift her, her body light in my arms as I ran out of the classroom pushing through the students, down the hallway towards the infirmary. Thank God the infirmary is near our potion classroom for occurrences like this. Inside the hallway my boots hit the floor hard.“Hold on, angel.
