Hermosa POVI left to my room boiling with anger, muttering throughout the way.I opened my room door and hit my head on the bed. I laid there for minutes thinking about what Ragal had said. He called me his Luna when we weren't even dating — the balls of him to think that I was going to marry him.The council of elders would never accept me. I had learned my lesson with Raphael when he hid me like a dirty secret.I tossed over the bed thinking of a way to get past my own dilemma. I wanted to fight and protect my loved ones, but he wouldn't let me.I was tired of people trying to dictate what I should and shouldn't do. It was really annoying.Bang.Bang.Bang.I heard a knock from the door. I immediately sat up on the bed. I knew it was Ragal trying to be all sweet and coy like yesterday, and I was not going to have it."Come in."A lady in a maid's apron peeped inside my room. I remembered her from the dining hall when she had called me a prisoner. Ragal had ordered that she would b

Ragal POVThe audacity—wanting to impeach me simply because I got injured during a fight. Instead of figuring out a way to make the Elite Wolves pay, they were fighting to get rid of me.I was right all along. They were always waiting for a chance for me to slip up, but I am Ragal, and my word is final."What makes you think that I am not capable of leading?" I asked."You keep having blackouts during meetings, and the shades—it's something new.""I'm fine. There's no need to worry." I moved to the door."Prove it."I turned."Prove that you are fit to rule." He said it again, and it was all it took for me not to snap his head from his shoulders."You all are asking me to prove my capability as king of nine packs?""Yes." They all replied in unison.I clenched my fist tightly. Grey hairs sprinkled through their hair like wisdom overflowed in those brains.Greedy bunch of fools.I had toiled day and night. For what? To be ridiculed by a bunch of whiteheads who thought they were wiser t

Hermosa pov The last time I had been here, it was different—cold and dark—but now there were lights everywhere and it didn't look as scary.A chandelier hung in place to give the room some shade of light, while his bed covers looked incredibly comfy.I hadn't imagined in my wildest dreams that someday I would be here with the Alpha King of all people. Was this luck? Or fate? I didn't know, but I was going to make the most of it.If he had any secrets that might harm me, I might as well find them.My eyes met the wardrobe. I hadn't seen inside of it yet. I walked over, flinging the doors open.Clothes hung on hangers—suits, casual wear, and nice shorts, all carrying that masculine smell.I sniffed his clothes, wanting to dwell in that feeling.*No, girl, snap out of this.* I pushed the clothes aside, looking for something that would scream forbidden.Yet I couldn't find anything, no matter how long I searched. There were more weird-looking shoes and sandals, and his outfits were all b

Hermosa povI couldn't concentrate; everywhere was a blur. Only the sloppy sounds of my pussy juice were heard while he thrust himself deep.Every stroke made my clit throb with pleasure, and I held onto that. His scent was driving me nuts.My desire tripled as he fucked the shit out of me.I came, my screams reverberating all over the place as he slumped to the bed, breathing hard.I couldn't believe it. I had made love to the Alpha King, and it was memorable. He kissed my forehead and wrapped his arms all around me, and before I knew it, I slept off.******The sunlight from the open window hit my eyes. I woke up rubbing my eyes and temples as a headache surged in-between.I leaned my back on the bedpost, tired from last night with no memory. Since I lost my memory it takes time to boot my brains.I looked around. The bedsheets were not mine neither were the curtains. Strange, I don't remember sleep walking. I don't even sleep walk. Wait a minute. I stared down at the bed covers.N

Hermosa pov The clothes you asked me to drop back in your wardrobe. It belongs to her.He gave a deep throaty laugh. "You think there's someone I would go to war for that's not you?"I gave a slight nod."I promise there's no girl, Hermosa. Please wear the jacket."I was really cold and my body had started getting goosebumps all over. Still, he hadn't finished answering my questions.I folded my arms facing him. "Tell me who owns the old T-shirt." I was freaking jealous and no, I'm not going to hide it.He sighed. "If I tell you, will you cover yourself up at least?""Depends.""On what?" he asked."If you are willing to tell me the truth." I said sternly. He raised an eyebrow. "Are you jealous?""No." I said almost immediately. "Just being careful.""Okay," he said, resignation heavy in his tone. "It belongs to my mom." His voice went flat with pain.I immediately regretted asking him. His eyes held memories he wasn't willing to talk about.I felt his pain, just like his transformat

Hermosa pov He came out of the shower with a towel trying to dry himself. A white towel tied firmly at his waist region.Water dripped from his hair to his hot abs. I was confused whether to believe her or not but the vial staring at me told me she was telling the truth."Hey," he stepped forward picking up his jacket from the floor. "Something wrong?" He asked."No." I lied as he walked over to the other side of the room to get his shampoo.I stared at the table of food in front of me. Suddenly everything felt like ash in my mouth. There on the table sat the vial and my questions. Not just any vial. A witch vial concocted through herbs.Witches don't just give out vials. They prepare them specifically for their patients. My pulse had gone up suddenly. There was no witch without a curse. There is no vial without a curse or affliction. I swallowed the last piece of bread and without waiting for any explanation.Watching Raphael switch to different characters and Ragal do the same was

Ragal's POVPack politics is so boring.I kept playing with the ring on my finger while the meeting progressed. They were discussing a date for the trial and I wasn't about to lose my cool. Not today. She was on my mind. Her stern, cold face filled my head and I could barely function properly. It was like one minute we were close and the next we were worlds apart. I had tried knocking on her door last night but she wouldn't answer.I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, wondering what had changed her attitude toward me.This meeting was only adding to my growing list of frustrations and I couldn't wait to leave and find her.*"My king, the trial is scheduled for next week."*I didn't even respond, just gave a slight nod, because I knew this whole thing was pointless from the start. No one will take what's mine. Not even the moon goddess herself.*What about the hundreds of skeletons you have lurking in your cupboard?* Leo sneered at me from inside my head.*I'll tell her when she's ready

Ragal povShe had wrapped one of her palms in white towel, a dull, faint shade of red already bleeding through the cloth.I rushed forward and took her hands in mine. She flinched, a look of surprise crossing her face the moment her eyes landed on me."Hermosa, what happened to you?" I asked, studying the reddened surface beneath the wrapping."Please leave." The words came out cold. Flat. I stood there trying to reconcile this version of her with the one who had slept under the same roof as me, who had eaten my food without hesitation just the night before. Why was she angry with me? Was it because I had slipped into her room without permission?*"I'm sorry for barging in. I was worried about you."My hands still held onto hers. "Who did this to you?"She pulled free. "I don't want to say. Leave my room.""Did I do something wrong? You were eating my food last night and now you don't want me anywhere near you."*"It's everything about you.""Me?" I drew closer. She closed her eyes an

Ragal's POVThe cold breeze toyed with my hair as I continued walking aimlessly through the cursed forest.I had snuck out through the back gate. I didn't want Rowen or his legions camped outside to know where I was headed.I needed space to breathe. I inhaled the air around me. This place felt like home.It was the only place I could be accepted for who I truly was. It felt like home to me.The evening sun sank across the horizon, boosting my energy as I ran on bare feet.Feeling the touch of nature move through my body and soul. The crows cawed at me like they knew me personally, which was a bit odd. I didn't always come here — unless they recognized that I was a part of them.Which I was. They called this place cursed, and right now it was the only place I could be who I wanted to be.I ran until my legs ached, thorns pricking my skin and wild branches slapping my face and shoulders.I was mad at the world. I could barely feel the pain as the thorns pierced my skin, drawing just en

Ragal She made quick strides towards me, making sure her legs were exposed. Her feet were strapped in heels and the way she walked felt posed yet effortless. This confidence wasn't maidlike. It was purposeful.I watched as her finger trailed my wounds softly. I couldn't believe the audacity."I am not a maid." She whispered in my ear, confirming my suspicion. I had been too focused on my mate that I hadn't noticed this. She pressed her body against mine, making sure my chest felt the strain of her nipples threatening to peek out of her breast cup.Was she a stripper sent by Rapheal? It was only those kinds of women that had no shame behaving like this in front of a man.Her fingers curled against my hair as she leaned further in. My grip firmly on the sink, I allowed her to continue, impressed by this sheer confidence that I wouldn't make her pay for it."You need someone like me." She trailed on. "Someone that can take care of you."I kept quiet, allowing this shenanigan of hers to
