Once again I was sitting on the outside, looking in. Only this time, it was more profound than anything I had experienced before.Harriette hung around for a while, but there was an awkward silence when the conversation paused. It was forced and she left after a while. And I was blessedly alone.Unfortunately, solitary confinement was as grim as I thought it would be. I wandered back to my room, the sounds from the outside indicating a happy community.I could see nothing but the rear of another cabin from my window, and the door opposite mine was firmly locked, as was every other door. And yes, I checked them all.The day was dreadfully slow in passing, and hours later, I was losing my mind, wishing even for Brian's presence.By noon, my mind was made.
