Do you know the feeling you get when you feel so hurt that it turns to anger? That feeling of just wanting to grab the one who caused you pain and just shake them, yelling in their face for them to understand. That was what Selena was feeling right now. She really did care for Elijah, but she just couldn’t love him. Yes, she knew she had not treated him right when she was with him and probably deserved all of this, but still she just wanted him to understand that love was such a complicated emotion.Sometimes, you love so hard that you embarrass yourself in so many ways. You love so hard that things you wouldn’t typically do, you see yourself doing. Love was what Selena would refer to as a slave master, and the heart its slave. It was such a strong feeling that could never just die or go away. So she knew very well that what she felt for Elijah was far from it. It was very far from love. And she knew deep down that even if he accepted and gave her a second chance, she won’t ever be

Selena was annoyed, all she wanted was the evening to herself. All she wanted was to lay on the cold hard floor and be depressed. She had no intention of being with the very same guy who was the reason she couldn’t love Elijah. Plus, she was already falling for him, so she knew that the more time she spent with him, the more she was going to fall even harder and deeper. And let’s not forget about Cassie, that girl was a psychopath who had one goal: becoming Luna of the pack. It was crystal clear she was not going to let anything or anyone stand in her way, not especially a lowly omega. But Selena had been ordered by her leader, there was no way that she could say no or disobey. Right? So she followed the alpha out of the room and they headed for the front door to leave to go to who-knows-where. But as soon as the alpha opened the front door and they stepped out, they met the beta standing with a cigarette in his hand. It was lit and he was smoking. He turned to them and when he saw

His touch. It felt magical. Selena closed her eyes and basked in the feeling. It felt like she was floating on clouds, like she was high out of her mind. Was this how drugs felt? Was the alpha now her drug? When she opened her eyes, she saw that he was much closer to her, his eyes staring deeply into hers. Every second felt charged with heat, and her heart pounded so hard. She wanted to move in and close the distance between them so badly. She wanted to see how he tasted. She wanted to touch him, feeling his muscles…his body. But she thought about Cassie and she knew immediately that this was wrong. Not only because she was an omega and he was the alpha, but because he was in a relationship. Selena didn’t want to be that kind of girl, you know? She hated cheaters, so she was most definitely not going to let herself be the reason Maddox became one.She knew she would hate herself if she let him kiss her, even though she so badly just wanted him to do that. Every cell in her body was

Alpha Maddox marched towards his car, his blood boiling and his heart racing in his ears. He got into the sportscar and fastened his seatbelt before speeding out of the compound. He headed for one place, a club called ‘Skin’. It was very popular but only high ranking werewolves were allowed to go there. It was also a place that respected privacy so he knew he could get drunk all he wanted and do whatever he wanted and won’t wake up in the morning to seeing himself viral on the internet.Gosh, he missed his parents so much. He really did. When he had lost them years ago, he never knew that the day before that day would have been the last time he would be spending with them.Maybe if he would have known, he would have tried to enjoy his last moments with them. And funny thing, Selena reminded him a bit of his mom. And seeing how the omega had held back tonight and didn’t allow him cheat on Cassie, he knew that she would be the perfect Luna, someone his mom would have loved. But damn t

Selena’s heart was pounding and she was sweating and hot even though the air of the hospital was cold. She followed her mom while the beta was right next to them. She was glad that she wasn’t alone, but knowing that Elijah was in the same building and the chances of him finding out she’s here made her sick to her stomach.“Just stay calm, okay? Elijah isn’t working on the same floor as Lily, he is just above us. I mean, there is a chance he might come in to check on her but we are going to be very careful, so don’t worry.” Her mom flashed her a smile after the words of encouragement.Selena nodded, smiling back, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes. She was riddled with anxiety, her heart feeling like it was going to explode at any second from how hard it was beating. She sniffled dryly and wiped some of the sweat from her forehead as she continued to follow her mother. Then they finally came to a stop, at a door.“This is it,” her mom said. “Are you ready?” Her voice was soft and her e
