"Why did you send for me? I can't see any sick person here." I stated, looking around the place."I didn't call you to come treat some sick person. I called you to come relax." He said as he walked close to me.I shot him an unbelievable glance and wanted to turn around and walk away when he pulled me back and whispered into my ear."I wanted you to relax. Outside the hospital and your room. I'm sure you would be amazed by the steamy room we have here. It is an experience and you will feel a lot better after sitting in there for a few minutes."I suddenly got conscious of my body and covered my chest with both hands."What do you mean? You want me to undress before you?""Oh come on, that is not what I mean. You don't have to undress before me. You can even experience it alone without me. I just want you to relax and rest from the stress of saving someone from the after life." He replied with his hands raised in mock surrender.I calmed down a bit but I was not fully convinced.I sure

"I need you to keep an eye on the physician. He is a potential enemy. I want to know where he goes to and when he comes back.""I also want to know what happens around the pack village." I said to Oscar and he nodded firmly.Three patients were killed with stab wounds. There was definitely something going on. Someone was behind the killings and the person had to be caught before even more people would lose their lives.I went to check on the Alpha and he was doing better than the previous day. Frost was already in the room when I walked in."You need to ensure that no one else takes charge of the Alpha's drugs. If it gets complicated again, I will not involve myself." I said bluntly to him."You cannot continue to sabotage my good work and expect me to fix things." I saw the expression on Frost's face change at my words. "Okay little wolf, I will try not to provoke you by messing with your work next time." His voice carried a mocking tone and that pissed me off.Did he think I was b

My heart beat hard against my ribcage as the information sank in.'Who would go to such lengths to instill fear in my father?' "Can they track them down? I would like to have a conversation with them." I said to Frost."You don't need to do anything. The men I hired were also paid to cover interrogation. The next time they will show themselves, they will be apprehended and interrogated." "And from the data I got from my informants, they will be visiting the forest at dawn tomorrow." I nodded at his words. "Thanks.""You are welcome little– biggie. He corrected with a smile that was overly smiley. How could he not know that his words did more harm than good? Or maybe he knew but still went ahead to say them."What's for dinner? You didn't eat anything on our way here." He mentioned, and I remembered the painstaking journey.I picked the bag of chips but didn't even open it. And it was as though my tummy was waiting for him. To mention food or hunger, it rumbled loudly."Yep, we nee

I ran as fast as my legs could take me, chasing after this black figure. Today, I had to catch whoever this person was. I knew for sure that this person was connected to the deaths of the pack members. Trying to make me stuck, trying to cause more trouble for me. But I would not let it happen. I could already hear Frost's voice behind me, yelling my name for me to stop.“Rya! Rya!” he called, but I did not answer. Instead, I ran faster and faster, not stopping. Any corner she took, I took with her. I did not realize I had already gotten outside the palace through the back door, and I was now at the edge of the cliff. I had to stop. How could she possibly do something like this? I looked around and wondered, was I just hallucinating or what? I clearly saw her jump, but staring down at the cliff, it seemed like an endless pit.I turned, seeing Frost behind me as he was breathing heavily, clearly so tired. “What? What happened? What are you chasing after?” he said to me as I could alre

Rya POVI turned to Frost almost immediately, making him realize what I was saying. “Do you see? Do you see what exactly is going on? I told you a lady in black is always around when incidents like this happen.”“ And you see, to prove it, Lia also saw her. She is very fast. Now we know it's a woman, which means that it could be anybody,” I said as they moved closer to Frost. “It could actually even be Ivy. Trust me, I know what I'm saying.” He looked at me and laughed. “Ivy does not have the grace to do something as stupid as that. Let me tell you something you don't know about her.”“ She might act or threaten you like she's smart, but she's a dumbass.”“She's just a rich kid who wants everything she wishes for, and whenever she doesn't get it, she acts like a spoiled brat,” he said and then just rolled his eyes. But I couldn't take it easily. I don't know why he sees Ivy as someone innocent, but I am sure she's not innocent at all. I folded my arms and looked at Lia. “You kn
