Elina POV:The next morning, Kieran and Ezra had left the cabin. I saw Lina in the kitchen and called her. She smiled softly.“You glowed while you slept.”“Shifting for the first time must be great,” she said.“It is not the first time,” I said softly.“Oh.”“The first time I shifted was in my old apartment, and the second time was the day I met Felipe.”“I’m happy for you. Alpha and Ezra asked you to meet them at the training ground,” she said as she placed a plate in front of me. She softly patted my hand and moved away.I went to see my nephew. He looked so much like his father, and I decided to name him Haven. I would announce that at dinner. I wore an outfit suitable for training and walked to the training ground. Growing up, I never went to the pack training with the intent to train; I went sometimes to watch Kieran and Ezra spar.I was never allowed to train, even if I wanted to, because they all saw me as a weak, fragile wolf. Most of the pack members thought I was useless an

Elina POVI walked into the pack healer’s house and headed toward the wards. Ivory was lying on her back. She opened her eyes.“I…I,” I stuttered.“I am sorry,” she said. I didn’t get why she was apologizing.“Why?” I asked her, but the reason was to ask her why she stopped being friends with me.“That day at school. The day you were locked up…” she said. I realized she was talking about that day. The day I was locked up in a dark room by Hariss.“I shouldn’t have stood there and watched you get bullied. I should have found the Alpha or your brother faster… before you passed out,” she said. Then she tried to sit up and cursed under her breath.“I should be healing by now. You are pretty strong,” she said, smiling.I wanted to say I am not. I am just strong because I was the vessel…She noticed I didn’t know what to say. “You don’t have to say anything. I just wanted to apologize so that way I will feel less guilty,” she said. I nodded.“It is fine. I am sorry for pushing that hard…”

Elina POV“A wolf howling…”“You heard it, right?” he asked. I shook my head, as if it would stop me from regretting my decision that night to run into the woods.“Did you see it?” I quickly asked. He shook his head.“I couldn’t. I tried to find it… it can’t be one of the pack members,” he said.“It is the red moon… maybe it’s a wolf, not a werewolf,” I said, trying to clear his suspicion.“Wolves? I thought there are wild wolves here,” he asked. He turned to me. I started to think of what to make up for him to believe my lie.“They pass by sometimes, and it’s rare…” I said. He nodded.“Would you like to come over to my place…?” Felipe asked. I turned to him.“I… I…”“It is okay if you don’t want to.”“No, I would love to.”“Okay, let’s go.”We walked to Felipe’s place. It was a shared cabin between other rogues that Kieran helped into the pack. His room was large, and there were paintings everywhere…canvases at the corner. The room was plain; only the paintings brought color into it

Kieran POV “What?” “W… what are you talking about?” she stuttered. There. She definitely knows something. I smirked. “Do a better investigation. I am not going to be a scapegoat for whatever fantasy of yours is killing werewolves,” I said. I didn't wait for her to reply. I climbed onto the bike, and Ezra did the same. We reached the pack. I rode directly to Elina's cabin. The house was silent as we walked in. “Elina.” Lina walked down from the stairs. “Hey, you guys are back.” Ezra and I nodded. “Did you guys see Elina?” Lina asked. “No. You don't know where she is?” Ezra asked. “Yes, she left some time ago. I thought she was going to take a walk around the cabin. She was supposed to be back…” Lina explained. “What if something had happened to her…?” Lina added, gasping as if she had just realized something. “What if she is in danger!” Lina exclaimed. Ezra and I were silent. “She will be fine,” Ezra said. He helped Lina to sit. “Ezra, stay with Lina. I will look for Eli

Kieran POVEver since that day in her room, anytime Elina and I meet, she just gives me a tight smile. She avoids looking at me.I later canceled the meeting with the pack elders, and today I decided to hold it. I walked into the meeting room, surprised that they were all silent. I frowned and took my seat. Ezra, who was already in the room, sat beside me.My eyes met Mason’s. “So why did we hold this meeting?” I asked. They looked at each other, then started mumbling and motioning for Mason to answer me.“Alpha, the other elders and I are curious why the hunters came here. You didn’t inform us on what was happening…” Mason said.I cut him off by lifting my hand.“Can I say a word, Alpha?” I turned to Moon Eyes. I was about to speak after cutting off Mason.“Yes,” I said. “You can go ahead and speak.”She stood up and bowed. “Alpha, the matter is serious, but I don’t like how Elder Mason said we all want to know what happened between you and the hunters. He seems to be more curious th
