Kieran POV

Ever since that day in her room, anytime Elina and I meet, she just gives me a tight smile. She avoids looking at me.

I later canceled the meeting with the pack elders, and today I decided to hold it. I walked into the meeting room, surprised that they were all silent. I frowned and took my seat. Ezra, who was already in the room, sat beside me.

My eyes met Mason’s. “So why did we hold this meeting?” I asked.

They looked at each other, then started mumbling and motioning for Mason to answer me.

“Alpha, the other elders and I are curious why the hunters came here. You didn’t inform us on what was happening…” Mason said.

I cut him off by lifting my hand.

“Can I say a word, Alpha?” I turned to Moon Eyes. I was about to speak after cutting off Mason.

“Yes,” I said. “You can go ahead and speak.”
