Lahat ng Kabanata ng Spirit bound by the Alpha's curse: Kabanata 11 - Kabanata 20

I must have lain there for hours because when I opened my eyes again, it was quiet. The sounds of the battle were gone. Which meant one of two things. Either Silver Creek had won and my pack was defeated, or the reverse was the case. I hoped it was. But that also meant that my disappearance would soon be noticed. Slowly, I sat up, feeling like I'd dreamed the last few moments before I lost consciousness. I looked around. The chamber was no longer bright, but somehow, I could see. The pedestal was still standing, the dagger forgotten on the floor. And the urn... I had not dreamed it. It was truly shattered. Not melted, like metal was supposed to melt. Shattered into little bits like pieces of glass. The runes were now dull and lifeless, no otherworldly glow to them. I looked at my hand. The cut I had given myself was gone without a trace. Healed. And so was the rest of me. I was whole, uninjured. I also couldn't hear the voice, even though I felt it's now familiar pre

“Mate,” the Bloody Prince repeated. My heart was racing, and I couldn’t tell if it was from fear, or from simply being in close proximity to him. I didn’t understand. The moment his soldiers brought me close enough, I caught his scent. It was amazing. Like sandalwood and something more. Something more earthy and masculine. Something that was wholly his. I wanted to bury myself in that scent. But not before I had answers. How could he be my mate? We met before. The mate bond would have made itself known then. And that’s if I had a wolf. I still didn’t have a wolf, so how? I knew he wasn’t lying. I felt it too, an almost overpowering need to be near him. It was like what I previously felt for Axel, but times a hundred. I took a step back from him, and an expression of pure rage crossed his face. My fear returned. This was no ordinary man. His wolf was no ordinary wolf. He was the Bloody Prince. He was cursed. I took another step back, and before I c

Stupid, stupid, stupid. I berated myself as I was led down from the vehicle which stopped in front of the Silver Creek Alpha house. I recognized the building from the last time I was here. Through the entirety of the drive here, the soldiers in the car dutifully ignored me, even when I tried to make conversation to find out what was going to happen to me. They didn’t even look at me. It was like their Alpha had ordered them to not acknowledge my presence. I seethed inwardly as my chain was passed to a female warrior, and she began leading me inside the house, tugging slightly when I didn’t move fast enough for her. Like I was a pet or something. I was a bit surprised she was even taking me to the house. From the way her Alpha acted, I’d expected to be tossed in a cell until he figured out what to do with me, and I’d beat myself up over that. How had I not realized the power I had when I first stepped out of that tunnel back at Red Moon?If I had known about Althea’s presence in

With nothing else to do after Cassian left, I plopped down on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. "What now?" I asked out loud, even though I was talking to Althea. "Now, we wait, I guess," she replied. I was silent for a while, thinking of all the turns my life had taken in the space of just one week. I thought of Red Moon. Was Julietta okay? Did she get hurt in the fight? After what she did to me, a part of me no longer wanted to care about her, but the bigger part insisted that she was still my sister no matter what. She had to be grieving too. At least she has Axel with her. Axel... The man who rejected me for her, and then proceeded to try to have me executed. I didn't know how to feel about him. I didn't know how to feel about anything. I was just so confused. I'd somehow ended up in the pack of a man who wanted to destroy my pack for killing his parents and kidnapping his sister. Meanwhile my own parents were dead, and I was the sole suspect. Oh, and don't forget lo

The rest of the meal passed in silence. I took great pleasure in the fact that I'd instructed the cook to make sure the portions were large. I knew Iris couldn't have gotten enough meals while she was locked in the dungeon of her pack. I still didn't understand what happened, but I guess I'd soon find out. For all her posturing and trying to annoy me, I could already tell she'd decided to talk. I waited till she set her fork down and pushed her plate away before standing, and stacking both our plates. She gave me an inquiring look, but I ignored her, taking the dirty dishes to the kitchen. When I returned, it was with dessert. Iris was giving me a strange look. "What?" I asked flatly. She looked away. "Nothing." "Easy," Wrath warned me. "You don't have to be so rude." "I'm not being rude," I snapped at him. "And you're one to talk. You have even less manners than I do. You haven't turned into a gentleman overnight." He ignored me, and I set the slice of chocolate cak
