All Chapters of Under the Same Verdict: Chapter 1 - Chapter 10

Aurora's POVOh my God! The damn alarm clock didn't go off! I was running toward the building as fast as my heels would carry me. I was coming by taxi, but there was a huge traffic jam, and I knew if I waited for it to clear up, I wouldn't make it in time. I'm not about to ruin my good image by being late.I wasn't far from there when the traffic jam started, so I paid what I owed the taxi and ran from there to the building. I should have a medal for running for five minutes straight in high heels. When I arrived at the company, I took a couple of minutes to catch my breath and then walked through the employee entrance.I greeted everyone I passed with a smile. I had been here for three and a half weeks and I was truly delighted. Most of the people here were very kind and polite to me. As always, there were some exceptions, but for the most part, I had a great time and was learning so much about everything and everyone.I finally arrived at my assigned floor with 10 minutes to spare,

Aurora's POVIt's been two weeks since I transferred to the top floor and started working directly with Sebastian and Mr. Novoa, and I have to admit it's been a bit... complicated. As I expected, working with Novoa has been quite demanding. He's a very demanding person, and it was hard to keep up with their pace, but I think I've done pretty well. Also, what I thought would be a positive thing ended up being a very negative point, having that model in front of me all the time makes everything more difficult, it's a constant distraction and a temptation to want to be looking at him every damn second. I felt a very strong attraction to that man, only physical obviously, his demanding and masculine presence was very imposing, which in my opinion made him ten times more attractive. Being alone with him as I usually was created extremely strong tension, obviously it was something that only I felt. I knew from many people that Mr. Novoa never got involved with absolutely anyone from work, w

Aurora's POVA new week had begun. Things remained practically the same at the office regarding work, although one thing I didn't consider the same as before was my strange "boss-employee" relationship with Rafael. Everything was so strange, there was such a strong tension between us, a strange feeling of suffocation that made me want to take a step and try something with him.Honestly, I liked him, I liked him a lot. Aside from the obvious fact that he's damn handsome, he has a very... interesting personality. He's very imposing, so masculine, yet very self-assured. I like what I've seen when we're alone together. He's kinder to me, more gentlemanly, and has shown himself open to conversation and not sitting in silent silence for hours, and I dare say he's even fun.But it seems to me that despite all that, I think that my liking for him is merely physical and carnal, despite my way of being somewhat flirtatious and insinuating sometimes, I did not have much experience in matters rel

Aurora's POVIt's been a week since Richards attacked me. I was so grateful from the bottom of my heart for all the support I received from Sebastian and, above all, Rafael. He made sure I was safely back at my apartment that night. Of course, I didn't tell my parents anything; I didn't want to worry them about it. Besides, thinking about what happened was still bothering me a bit. When I got home that day I took a very long shower, I scrubbed my body until my skin was red, I felt so disgusted and repulsed remembering her filthy hands on me and how she rubbed her disgusting body against mine, that night I cried until no more tears came out, when it was time to go to sleep I felt very alone, I missed my parents too much, I needed a hug from my mom to know that everything would be okay. The next day, I didn't show up for work, obviously on Rafael's orders. Even though I insisted I was fine and could go, they wouldn't let me. Sebastian came to my apartment to check on me that afternoon.

Aurora's POVGod! What happened with Rafael in his office had me on cloud nine. The fact that he kissed me just made me fall for him, everything I didn't want. I knew there was a chance I could get hurt, but I couldn't help it. My attraction to Rafael was undeniable at this point, and it scares me to death to believe I'm falling in love with him.Two days have passed since that moment in his office, our coexistence returned to what it was before, nothing had happened between us again, but the moments when we were alone were too tense, you could see the desire between us, I think it was something undeniable, the looks we gave each other full of complicity and desire was something that was killing me, I knew it was a matter of time before something would happen again, at this moment I'm not sure how far I would allow him to go, it didn't seem so crazy to try much more with him.Sebastian 's office , I really liked it when he invited me to spend time with him to discuss the different cas
