Rogues and Royals のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 141 - チャプター 150

Lucy’s POV I felt Adam squeeze my hand as my heart leapt in my throat. “Goddess…. My head…” he moaned as he tried to sit up, my hand going to his chest and stopping him. “Shhh, love. Stay laying down if your head still hurts. You’re supposed to be recovering.” I kissed his cheek and buzzed into the space by his neck. The table was large enough I had crawled on top with him, ignoring the sterile metal table under me and just wanting to be close to him. “Recovering? What; did I get shot or something?” He chuckled as he pulled me in tighter. “Apparently you did a long time ago.” I whispered. His body tensed as he got a far away look. “I did. I was shot the day they killed my parents..” he shivered as I held him tightly, his breathing becoming slightly more heavy. “They shot them and beheaded my mom right in front of me.” “Adam..” I was heartbroken for my mate, the thought of something like that happening to my own parents unspeakable. “I was eight, and I somehow survived. M

Lucy’s POV “We’ll see ya again in America, love!” The Doctor’s wife, Jillian, called out with a wave as she leaned against the old man. We pulled away from their house and clinic and began our trip to the next safe house. “Fuuuuuck…” Adam moaned as a bump in the road jarred us slightly. “Did you get the pain meds the old man had for you?” Justin asked as he pulled out a paper map with places circled on it. “Yah; but damn if it feels as if my head is splitting.” Adam complained. “Nah; we had a look in there- not much left to hurt.” Justin goaded back, eliciting a small chuckle from Jason at the dig. Adam let out a small Alain filled laugh too and popped one of the pills, swallowing it dry and trying to relax back against me. “So where to next?” I asked as we turned on the road heading north. “Just a couple hours away in a gated community. Supposedly they have right security there, so it’s gonna be one of our safest options. A town called “Bradford”.” “Hey; I have a safe

Felix’s POV “Prince Bells, we weren’t expecting your appearance until later this afternoon.” The council had been I progress when I had slipped into the gallery, thankfully paying attention and finding out that Shepard in fact did not talk about my sister at all. I had risked a call to Jason for the run down of everything and prepared for a battle of whit and words with everything I could think of. Jason also said that the may have found a way out for me, but to be patient and still continue on just in case. “I’m sorry, councilmen.” I addressed them all. “But I have a lot to discuss that may impact everything that has happened so far.” I bowed my head and bared my neck in respect, getting a gruff of approval from most of them. “Alright, since we have the docket open for public discussion and there seemed to be no takers, you may address us at this time.” Councilman Gregory nodded to the center of the room as I straightened my tie and made my way down. “First of all; my sister,

Lucy’s POV Jason hung up the phone as we watched Adam and Justin bring in the suitcases. “There. At least your brother is in the loop; but pity we can’t tell him more over the phone.” “You can never be too careful.” I nodded. “…” I must have made a small sound after that because Jason turned to me expectantly. “What are you thinking? Spill it.” My Beta knew me too well to know when I’d thought of something. “What if we were to reveal Adam the day after the wedding? Kind of passing it off as me presenting myself to the council as a thanks for their support in finding me.” “Too dangerous.” He shook his head no. “The Shepard’s have already proven they want you and your stone more than anything; so having you there would basically be presenting you to them on a platter all tied up with a bow.” “You’re being dramatic; we’ll be in public.” I pointed out. “I’m being practical. Keeping you as far away from them as possible is the only thing hindering them from achieving somethin

Lucy’s POV “Fucking hell..” Jason mumbled under his breath as we sped out of the last gas station as soon as he paid. “How the fuck are they finding us?” We had driven through the night and had been taking turns driving. The chase on us was relentless and we couldn’t stay anywhere more than twenty minutes before trouble showed up. “Did they put a tracker on us somehow?” I asked. “No; I’ve checked this whole car thoroughly, we ditched our bags and clothes minus our ID’s, cards, and cash, we haven’t used the cards at all, and our cellphones haven’t had any unusual connections.” Jason sighed in exasperation, sipping on his lukewarm coffee with a wince. “Did they perhaps track you with a chip while they had you?” Adam posed the question. I tried to think back to my drug files haze and found it hard to recall anything like that. “All I can really say is that they’ve shot me twice in the neck with diluted wolfsbane; and I had no lingering aches and pains anywhere else after you re
