Lahat ng Kabanata ng Wrong Bride, True Luna: Kabanata 21 - Kabanata 30

AmeliaAs soon as Ethan stands next to me and pulls me into his arms, I feel like the weight of the world just rolled off my shoulders. His presence alone puts me at such ease, I can finally breathe again. I don’t bother speaking as Ethan pulls Logan into a friendly discussion. “Alpha Logan, I’m happy you decided to visit us, but I can’t help but wonder why you have arrived alone. I’m sure I mentioned that your Luna is more than welcome to join us on the invitation. Why didn’t she accompany you?” Ethan asks and glances at me, flashing me a quick, reassuring smile. Logan huffs out an angry breath, a sound I’ve heard too many times to count as he brushes off Ethan’s polite questions. “She just didn’t,” is all Logan offers as an explanation. Truth be told, the same as Ethan, I too wonder why Katherine didn’t join Logan. She’s extremely clingy, she goes everywhere Logan does, or at least used to do that in the past, so it’s odd to see him travel anywhere without his beloved Luna. Eth

AmeliaWhy am I even surprised at all? Of course, Logan hasn’t changed one bit. He’s still the same short-tempered, domineering, and suffocatingly possessive man I’ve known all my life. Deep down, I hoped that he would arrive at Deadfang and show some change. He was supposed to come here to discuss a peace agreement, not show off his inability to control his temper. I want to look away, but I force myself to keep eye contact as I speak, “I’m not returning back to that pack ever. My decision is final, even if it means I die as a rogue wolf, I’m still not going back there with you.” My voice is surprisingly firm and calm, which only should prove to Logan that I’m not playing his twisted games. Can’t he see it for himself? I’ve been a part of Deadfang for literal days and I’ve already changed for the better. I’m more assertive, I speak up, and for once, I’ve enjoyed how it feels to be dolled up. This pack is bringing positive changes to my life and I’m not willing to let go of that

Amelia Suck between a rock and a hard place with Logan and Ethan, I find myself sitting at the large oak table in the packhouse’s dining room. The atmosphere is tense as it is, but the two men sitting across from each other, glaring daggers at each other, doesn’t help the situation at all. “Serve us as usual, no need for special treatment,” Ethan tells a servant that approaches him, flashing her a smile that lights up his entire face. I glance at Logan and instantly notice the sour look on his face. Now, more than ever, it’s noticeable how much he hates not being treated like someone special. Logan probably assumed that since he’s a guest, now everyone will break and bend just to please him, but Ethan has no such plans. Once the food is brought up, Ethan and I eat in silence, but Logan makes no move to even touch the fork next to his hand. I glance up just as an ugly sneer twists his face. “What is the meaning of this?” He growls. Both Ethan and I look at Logan just as he start

Logan“Answer her,” my wolf growls inside my head. “She deserves answers, Logan. Man up and admit your mistakes before Amelia is too far gone to win her back.” “You think I don’t know that already?” I growl back at him while Amelia is still screaming in my face. It’s truly heartbreaking to watch her pushed to this state. I’ve never liked seeing her hurt, but right now, Amelia isn’t crying because someone said something mean about her—she’s breaking while I’m just sitting here, unable to force a word past my lips. “Come on, Logan,” my wolf urges me, growing more restless. “Start with something simple like asking for forgiveness. Tell her you’ve made mistakes and you’re sorry from the bottom of your heart. Help her calm down and then you can answer her questions.” “You’re right,” I answer without thinking, but my mind brings me back to when it all started. I’m at the restaurant, waiting for Katherine to arrive, but as the door opens, instead of my fiancee I think I see Amelia. She

AmeliaI start working on dinner early to ensure everything’s ready and set by the time Ethan arrives. I really want to show him how grateful I am for him accepting me into his pack and supporting me every step of the way. By the time I pull the roast out of the oven, the front door opens. “Oh wow, something smells good in here,” Ethan calls out even before he steps into the kitchen. I turn and smile at him just as Ethan holds out a bottle of beverage and a bouquet of flowers. “These are for you.” My cheeks tint bright red. “You shouldn’t have,” I say, feeling a little shy but accepting the gifts. “I absolutely had to,” Ethan insists.“It’s non-alcoholic, by the way,” he adds as he points at the bottle.Quickly, I set the bottle on the table and get some water for the flowers. “They’re beautiful, thank you. I don’t remember the last time anyone brought me flowers.” Ethan sets two glasses on the table and opens the bottle of sparkling wine. “Well, that should change then. Beautiful
