Jessica POV It took a lot of convincing everyone to let me sit with Donna on my own. If she was awake, we would talk. If she was asleep, I would wait for her to wake. Jessica POV As I prepared for the battle ahead, I recognized that my mother needed. She needed to see her mate before we left. She desperately wanted to come with us, but I had managed to convince her it would be a distraction. We did not need a distraction as we prepared to fight some of the strongest beasts. I looked at Kendrick as we finished going over the plans for taking over the compound. “I want you to see her,” I said quietly. He looked at me, knowing immediately what I had meant. “Really?” he whispered. He had been wanting to see her, he had been drawn to her through their bond, but he had respected my wishes. He had not asked. “She needs to see you,” I shared, as he moved closer to me. “Does she remember me?” Kendrick asked. I nodded at him, “Yes.”. “What about me?” Susan questioned. “She did not ask to see you and I will not overwhelm her with too many visitors,” I stated.

Jessica POV Susan was quiet as we left the hospital. She was lost in her own thoughts, and I was lost in mine. We had the SUVs waiting for us, prepared to take us to the Crescent Moon Pack.
