Zeta POV Something within me shifts softly and I kiss her forehead lightly. The simple contact feels… grounding, more than I expect. For a moment, the noise of the room fades into the background, and it’s just us standing there. “I’m sorry,” I say quietly. “For earlier. For being a jerk.” She doesn’t pull away. If anything, her fingers tighten slightly around mine. “It’s okay,” Isabella replies, her voice soft, almost careful. I nod once, exhaling slowly before straightening. I can’t stay in this moment too long. Not here. “Come on,” I add, gesturing lightly toward the crowd. “Let’s go back. I don’t want Mom feeling more upset than she already is.” She lifts her head from my shoulder, studying me briefly before giving a small nod.
