FAZER LOGINA head poked out of the room, looking down the hallway, making sure no one was in sight.
Alone in her room, Zeke's voice haunted her, almost driving her crazy. “I would ruin you” Like it was so hard to do. She ran a finger over her hair before stepping out cautiously. She wasn't ready to face Tessa now. She took a step forward, letting out a deep sigh. The day was going better than she had imagined. “Ivy!” The name sliced across the hallway. She froze, body tensing, eyes shot wide. She had concluded a tad too early. “Ivy!” This time it came out breathless between pants. She turned on her heels taking in Tessa bent on one knee, hair hiding her face. “What's wrong? You're breathless this early?” Ivy took a step forward. “I was hurrying over to catch you before you leave again” A mischievous grin appeared on Tessa's face. “Again?” Ivy's face contorted into a frown. Eyes narrowing into slits. But Tessa didn't give her the time to think about it as she pulled her back into her room. “Yes again,” She confirmed. “If not tell me where you're sneaking off to this early?” She questioned, a hand resting on her hip. “I… You look like an old gossip right now,” Ivy chuckled. “Right, you're trying to change the topic” Tessa counter-replied. Ivy face-palmed, an exasperated sigh escaping her lips. “What do you want?” She finally asked and Tessa's face lit up into a bright smile. “So how did it go? Was he good? You know in bed?” The questions came rushing, bringing with it a rush of blood up Ivy's face, heat climbed into her face, her eyes darting across the room. “What… What do you mean? “She breathed out. “ Nothing of that sort happened,” she added. “Oh, quite convincing,” Tessa smiled. “You're not always this nervous. Are you sure nothing happened?” “Yes, and nothing like that would happen” She replied. A sting shot across the chest when she said that. Her wolf groaned inside her and she flinched. “What's wrong?” Tessa asked. “My wolf. She moved!” Ivy exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement. “Finally, That's great news” Tessa jolted up with trembling lips. “I'm off to see grandma” Ivy stood up, reaching for the door. “Zeke?” “He can wait” She pushed through, moving past the hallway. She had taken less than five steps when a guard walked up to her. “The Alpha requests your presence,” The guard said, head bowed. “Stoneheart?” Her brows furrowed before she nodded, walking behind the guard. She knew better than to refuse. Her hands pushed the door open, a little too eagerly, lips pursed into a smirk. “Stoneheart,” She called immediately they were alone, the name bouncing through the walls. Zeke raised his head from the files, eyes looking her over, making her feel exposed and vulnerable. “You're here” He finally spoke up, easing the tension that was beginning to build. “Yeah, I am. A surprise?” She slumped into the couch. “You've been reassigned…” “Thank Goddess” She let out a satisfied sigh. “To the kitchen,” he added. “What?” Her voice came as a whisper. “You heard me. Leave now” He commanded. “Stoneheart?” Her voice softened. “I said leave.” His voice came out rough and cold. Too cold. She nodded, her feet dragging across the padded floor. Her newly found wolf whined inside her. “Get the fire workers on standby,” She threw to the man seated beside the table, slamming the door beside her. She could swore she heard a faint chuckle vibrate through the door but she couldn't care less. Her legs carried her across his chambers to the kitchen. Heat attacked her first as she set her feet into the kitchen, the sharp smell of hot oil invaded her nostrils and she took a step back. The noisy chatter came later, hitting her like a strong wave, the kitchen staff gossiped away, unaware of her presence. Her arms curled around her, her wolf whimpering inwardly. “Be calm,” She whispered. “Luna!” A sharp voice cut through her oceans of thought. “Humph!” A snicker echoed across the huge kitchen. “A rejected mate doesn't make her a Luna” Something stirred in her but her tongue moved faster than her head. “I was worthy of being a Luna by the moon goddess. The difference is that you aren't” She snickered, turning to the owner of the voice. A blush climbed into her face and she stepped back as Ivy took menacing steps at her. “And till the official rejection ceremony is carried out, I'm still a Luna” She growled. “Not a Luna, just a rejected…” It happened too fast, her hands clawed at the voice owner's face, leaving a trail of red blood. “You would address me as Luna,” Her voice was low yet commanding, almost raw. Sounding like… wait, her wolf. She quickly came to the realization and stepped back. Eyes wide in horror as she looked down at her hand that had just clawed the face. “I'm sorry” She forced it out of her mouth with a trembling voice. The girl retreated, hands clutching her cheek with petrified eyes. “I'm sorry,” She choked out, her eyes never leaving the girl. She took a step forward but it only made the girl retreat a little further. “I said I'm sorry!” Her voice vibrated through the room. Wide eyes laced in fear stared back at her. “Shit!” She slammed a finger over her mouth, turning on her heels to get away from the kitchen. The familiar figure stood at the doorway accessing her with unreadable eyes. She stopped for only a moment before continuing her exit. “Grandma,” She whispered as she ran, feet thudding against wet soil. The wolf stood tall in all her glory, white as the moon, streaks of silver light rippling through her fur like she had swallowed the night sky whole. Her eyes were sea-blue. Bright. Commanding. The kind of blue that didn’t beg to be seen. It demanded it.A howl tore from her throat, long and powerful, echoing across valleys and forests, calling every wolf to attention. Claiming her place. Claiming her power.Luna Head. She moved across the open field with effortless grace, head lifted high, claws sinking into the damp soil as if the earth itself welcomed her weight. She paused.Lifted her gaze to the sky.The moon answered. She shook out her fur, silver light scattering from her body like dusted stars. A low purr rumbled from her chest before she leapt forward, disappearing into the dark, her white coat glowing like a beacon against the night.“Luna?”Zeke jolted upright in bed, breath uneven.“Luna?” He whispered again. What was that? Why did his wolf recognized that Luna as Ivy? It
“Luna,” Ivy wiped her head towards the group of pups seated by the corner of the pack clinic. “Kiddies,” She chuckled, retracing her steps back to them. “Luna,” The youngest shrieked and threw herself into Ivy. “Now, what are you up to?” She planted a kiss on her head and sat by them. “Ivy,” She raised her head at her name. It was a middle aged woman walking towards her while carrying Little Betty in her hands. Little Betty had been brought to the pack clinic this morning at the verge of death but by the help of the goddess, she was fine now. “I want to thank you for your help this morning,” The woman gave a small bow. “It's nothing really,” Ivy commented and looked away. “I know it's nothing to you but Betty is all I have left. Thank you for saving her,” The woman continued. “The goddess saved her,” She stated.“She used you,” The woman insisted and Ivy nodded with a tight smile. “It's okay. She would be fine,” Ivy leaned in and patted the girl's head, making the girl lean i
“Zeke” The door of the office swung open and Lucas stepped in, a bounce on his gait. “What?” Zeke narrowed his eyes. “I have both good news and bad news” Lucas said, the smile on his face faltering. “Good news first” “Ivy is healing the pups! The pups are healing! I don't know how she's doing it” He rambled, his smile returning to his face. “Bad news?” Zeke frowned and Lucas smile dropped. “Ivy is in trouble” He looked away. “What do you mean?” Zeke eyes flew wide open, his legs moving faster than his brains. “A sick pup caught her arms when she tried to attend to him and she can't change to her wolf because…” Lucas trailed off as he followed after Zeke. “Why can't she change?” Zeke's voice was urgent. “She hadn't changed once. She has a dormant wolf” Lucas replied. Zeke's hands hovered over the doorknob “Dormant?” He asked, his eyes narrowing into slits. “Yes” Lucas nodded as Zeke pushed the door open, walking into the clinic. His eyes roamed around the clinic before lan
The stench that hit Zeke when he walked him almost made him gag over. “What's this?” He asked baffled. The pack doctor walked over to him, a grave expression on his face. “Alpha” He gave a small bow. “Explain this to me,” Zeke demanded. “It's….” He heaved a sigh “Howling rot” He said, his voice hoarse and low. Zeke's eyes widened slightly and he clenched his hands as he turned to Lucas who mirrored the same expression. “Who are the victims?” “Mostly pups” The doctor said. “Let me see the kids” Zeke demanded. “Alpha, I'm afraid…” “Let me see the kids” Zeke roared, his eyes quickly turning red. “I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Let's go” The doctor gasped and quickly led the way. The harsh smell hit him instantly and he took a step back, his eyes roaming the hall. Pups were tied in chains, howls echoed across the pack house, threatening to pull it down. “This is bad” He heard Lucas mutter beside him. His eyes blurred as he looked away. “Mate” He heard his wolf growl. “Be quiet” He
“Stoneheart” She caught up with him. The soldiers had moved to a field behind his chambers and he was there, resuming his teaching. “I'm not joking, I want to be taught” She insisted. “You?” He scoffed “You don't need to be taught, I would always be there for you” He almost added this statement but held his tongue back. “Yes, what do you mean? Are you underrating me?” She raised an eyebrow. “You're not fit enough for me to teach” He said. “Teach my mate” His wolf growled. “Keep shut” He rebuked. “That's why I want to learn. Are you born dumb or you learnt it?” She facepalmed. “Ivy” He grunted. “Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry” She rolled her eyes. “Why don't you fight off Tommy here?” Zeke suggested. “Oh that's easy, he's lean” She chuckled before getting in stance. “Fuck!” She shrieked five minutes later as she was thrown to the floor for the seventh time. “I'm sorry” He hurried to help her up. “I can do that on my own” She pulled herself up, dusting sand off
The door swung open, almost breaking it out of it's position. “Grandma,” She gasped, eyes blurring with tears. “Ivy” Grandma took slow but steady steps towards her before engulfing her in her embrace “Child” She sniffed. Ivy retreated from the embrace after a moment, forcing out a smile. “It's okay to cry Ivy, you can't be strong everytime,” “My parents.” Grandma froze. “What are you not telling me about them?” She asked. “What did you hear?” Her grandmother's fragile voice flew into her ears. “That's not what I asked?” She yelled making the old woman flinch slightly. “Ivy, you have to calm down. What happened to you?” “She's hiding it from you” “She knows the truth and refused to tell you” Those were the words that echoed in her ears as she took predatory steps towards her grandmother. “Your wolf” Grandma breathed out. “Yes my Wolf. She's out” Ivy smirked, coming closer to the the trembling woman. “Ivy, it's your wolf talking. This isn't you” “Well, you're
