“Fuck Zeke” Ivy's strained voice cut through the air, sweat trickling down her temples as she scrubbed at the pile of shirts stacked beside the wooden basin.

Her arms burned, her palms were raw, and the water - already murky from soap and dirt - sloshed against her wrists like it mocked her.

The scent of sweat, iron and Zeke's musky cologne clung to the fabric. She groaned. “Even his damn clothes smell so arrogant”

“Hey girl, love the scent of his clothes” She heard the super annoying voice. Tessa.

Ivy dropped the clothes back into the basin with a wet slap “What are you doing here?” She turned her head to her.

“I've been looking for you” Tessa said, crouching beside her with that grin that could make anyone suspicious “Went to the greenhouse but Mika said she had no idea where you are. Got the news from Lucas”

Ivy sighed. “See more reasons why you should have accepted the rejection” Tessa teased.

“No” Ivy replied almost immediately. “Seeing more reasons not to accept it. Zeke's a dickhead” She commented.

“At last” Ivy sighed and stood up, wringing water out of the last piece of clothing.

“You've done great Luna” Tessa teased.

“Lucas is rubbing off on you” Ivy noticed and Tessa looked away.

“Tell me all about it” Ivy smirked.

“About what?” Tessa scoffed. “There's nothing to say about anything” She added.

“Oh really?”

“Here's your Alpha” Tessa changed the topic smoothly with the speed of a professional liar.

Ivy followed her gaze and froze.

There he was.

Zeke stood tall under the bright sun, golden sword in hand, his black shirt hugging every hard line of his form. He was commanding the soldiers, sharp and flawless, every motion precise. The sunlight gleamed against his blade, throwing sparks of gold around him like he was born from fire and discipline.

“Stoneheart” Ivy's voice sliced across the field.

Heads turned.

“Ivy, no” Tessa groaned softly beside her.

But Ivy’s grin only widened. She was already walking - no, storming - across the training ground, boots thudding against the packed dirt. She could see the muscle in Zeke’s jaw flex when he noticed her. He didn’t stop his soldiers, didn’t look at her fully, but the tightness in his grip gave him away.

“Hey, Stoneheart! I’m talking to you!” she shouted again, planting herself right in front of him. The air thickened instantly - soldiers whispering, glances trading.

“What on earth are you doing?” Zeke asked, voice hard as steel.

“Done doing your laundry, I need my thanks” Ivy said, chin tilted.

His brows furrowed. “Thanks?”

Ivy nodded, lips curving. “Yes”

“You're crazy, that's your duty” He replied.

“My duty?” She repeated, voice rising before she could stop it. “Are you nuts?”

Gasps rippled through the soldiers.

Every head turned.

And then.

“Ivy.” Zeke’s voice thundered across the field like a whip. It wasn’t loud - it was commanding. Deadly. Every soldier straightened, then disappeared like shadows. Only the two of them remained.

Zeke’s hand shot out, gripping her arm as he pulled her away from the field and into his office. The walk was silent - charged - and the moment the door shut, the sound of wood hitting frame echoed like a gunshot.

He slammed her against the wall. Not cruelly, but firmly - like he was trying to hold something inside from breaking free. The impact sent a sting through her back, but what stunned her more was the way his eyes burned into hers. Not anger. Not entirely. Something else.

“You felt it too, right?” she whispered, unable to look away.

For a moment, he froze. His lips parted, then closed again. His chest rose sharply, like the words had struck too close.

“Repeat what you said in the field,” he ordered, low and dangerous.

“Why are you pushing it so hard, Stoneheart?” She asked, voice trembling just slightly - the sass stripped away, replaced by something raw. “You think acting like ice makes it easier to breath?”

“If I don't Ivy…” He let out a slow breath, his tone cracking at the edges. “I'm going to ruin you” He sighed.

Her heart stuttered but she held his gaze. “Then just do that, Stoneheart. Ruin me”

“You have no idea what you're saying” He chuckled helplessly.

“Yeah, because you're the most intelligent” She slipped back into the sassy nature she had dropped for a moment.

“Just put me down if you're not going to give me my thanks” Zeke threw her at the couch.

“Ouch” She winced. “You almost broke my waist” She rubbed the imaginary pain at her hips away.

“Get out” Zeke's voice thundered and she stood up.

“I was waiting for you to say that” She took controlled steps towards the door.

“And remember, I'm your Alpha” He added.

“You're Stoneheart first” She threw back at him and walked away.

She was so damn hungry.

***

The smell of coffee combined with the usual wolfsbane and lavender taunted her nose as she stepped him.

“Grandmother” She called as she looked around.

“Ivy” She heard her name being called from the kitchen.

She sighed and made her way into the kitchen. “What are you cooking?” The rumbling of her stomach followed her voice almost immediately.

“Porridge” Her grandmother smiled and handed her a cup of coffee “Your favorite” She added.

Ivy nodded and took a sip from it “Perfect” She gave a thumps up with a smile.

“You're hungry” Grandma stated the obvious.

“As hell” Ivy groaned.

“Can you imagine I've been doing his laundry all day?” She shook her head.

“More reason to accept his rejection” Grandma smiled weakly.

“Nope, more reason to not accept it” She stated. “I'm gonna frustrate that guy”

“Here” Grandma handed her a plate of hot porridge and she smiled thankfully before heading to the counter and setting the plate down.

“I'm definitely going to conquer you Stoneheart” She muttered under her breath and the wind rang out as if acknowledging her vow.

The wolf stood tall in all her glory, white as the moon, streaks of silver light rippling through her fur like she had swallowed the night sky whole. Her eyes were sea-blue. Bright. Commanding. Claiming her power.Luna Head. She moved across the open field with effortless grace, head lifted high, claws sinking into the damp soil as if the earth itself welcomed her weight. She paused.Lifted her gaze to the sky.The moon answered. She shook out her fur, silver light scattering from her body like dusted stars. A low purr rumbled from her chest before she leapt forward, disappearing into the dark, her white coat glowing like a beacon against the night.“Luna?”Zeke jolted upright in bed, breath uneven.“Luna?” He whispered again. What was that? Why did his wolf recognized that Luna as Ivy? It

“Luna,” Ivy wiped her head towards the group of pups seated by the corner of the pack clinic. “Kiddies,” She chuckled, retracing her steps back to them. “Luna,” The youngest shrieked and threw herself into Ivy. “Now, what are you up to?” She planted a kiss on her head and sat by them. “Ivy,” She raised her head at her name. It was a middle aged woman walking towards her while carrying Little Betty in her hands. Little Betty had been brought to the pack clinic this morning at the verge of death but by the help of the goddess, she was fine now. “I want to thank you for your help this morning,” The woman gave a small bow. “It's nothing really,” Ivy commented and looked away. “I know it's nothing to you but Betty is all I have left. Thank you for saving her,” The woman continued. “The goddess saved her,” She stated.“She used you,” The woman insisted and Ivy nodded with a tight smile. “It's okay. She would be fine,” Ivy leaned in and patted the girl's head, making the girl lean i

“Zeke” The door of the office swung open and Lucas stepped in, a bounce on his gait. “What?” Zeke narrowed his eyes. “I have both good news and bad news” Lucas said, the smile on his face faltering. “Good news first” “Ivy is healing the pups! The pups are healing! I don't know how she's doing it” He rambled, his smile returning to his face. “Bad news?” Zeke frowned and Lucas smile dropped. “Ivy is in trouble” He looked away. “What do you mean?” Zeke eyes flew wide open, his legs moving faster than his brains. “A sick pup caught her arms when she tried to attend to him and she can't change to her wolf because…” Lucas trailed off as he followed after Zeke. “Why can't she change?” Zeke's voice was urgent. “She hadn't changed once. She has a dormant wolf” Lucas replied. Zeke's hands hovered over the doorknob “Dormant?” He asked, his eyes narrowing into slits. “Yes” Lucas nodded as Zeke pushed the door open, walking into the clinic. His eyes roamed around the clinic before lan

The stench that hit Zeke when he walked him almost made him gag over. “What's this?” He asked baffled. The pack doctor walked over to him, a grave expression on his face. “Alpha” He gave a small bow. “Explain this to me,” Zeke demanded. “It's….” He heaved a sigh “Howling rot” He said, his voice hoarse and low. Zeke's eyes widened slightly and he clenched his hands as he turned to Lucas who mirrored the same expression. “Who are the victims?” “Mostly pups” The doctor said. “Let me see the kids” Zeke demanded. “Alpha, I'm afraid…” “Let me see the kids” Zeke roared, his eyes quickly turning red. “I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Let's go” The doctor gasped and quickly led the way. The harsh smell hit him instantly and he took a step back, his eyes roaming the hall. Pups were tied in chains, howls echoed across the pack house, threatening to pull it down. “This is bad” He heard Lucas mutter beside him. His eyes blurred as he looked away. “Mate” He heard his wolf growl. “Be quiet” He

“Stoneheart” She caught up with him. The soldiers had moved to a field behind his chambers and he was there, resuming his teaching. “I'm not joking, I want to be taught” She insisted. “You?” He scoffed “You don't need to be taught, I would always be there for you” He almost added this statement but held his tongue back. “Yes, what do you mean? Are you underrating me?” She raised an eyebrow. “You're not fit enough for me to teach” He said. “Teach my mate” His wolf growled. “Keep shut” He rebuked. “That's why I want to learn. Are you born dumb or you learnt it?” She facepalmed. “Ivy” He grunted. “Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry” She rolled her eyes. “Why don't you fight off Tommy here?” Zeke suggested. “Oh that's easy, he's lean” She chuckled before getting in stance. “Fuck!” She shrieked five minutes later as she was thrown to the floor for the seventh time. “I'm sorry” He hurried to help her up. “I can do that on my own” She pulled herself up, dusting sand off

The door swung open, almost breaking it out of it's position. “Grandma,” She gasped, eyes blurring with tears. “Ivy” Grandma took slow but steady steps towards her before engulfing her in her embrace “Child” She sniffed. Ivy retreated from the embrace after a moment, forcing out a smile. “It's okay to cry Ivy, you can't be strong everytime,” “My parents.” Grandma froze. “What are you not telling me about them?” She asked. “What did you hear?” Her grandmother's fragile voice flew into her ears. “That's not what I asked?” She yelled making the old woman flinch slightly. “Ivy, you have to calm down. What happened to you?” “She's hiding it from you” “She knows the truth and refused to tell you” Those were the words that echoed in her ears as she took predatory steps towards her grandmother. “Your wolf” Grandma breathed out. “Yes my Wolf. She's out” Ivy smirked, coming closer to the the trembling woman. “Ivy, it's your wolf talking. This isn't you” “Well, you're
