Raven’s povNana somehow made all of us go into the kitchen to make her famous pudding. Dylan nudged me as Nana spoke to one of the maids. “The meal is going to be very delicious. She makes such delicious meals,” I smiled in response, my heart racing. There was just something about being in a space with someone as old as she was. Of course, I wanted to know what she thought about me. Did she think I was a whore for leaving my husband?I can't even lie, I was a bit edgy and worried. I said a little prayer to the moon goddess to make sure this doesn't go bad at all. While Dylan and I were still making small talk, I noticed Dax’s intense gaze on me. I rolled my eyes and turned away from him to face Dylan fully. I was still angry from his earlier behavior. The way he has just switched and walked away from him. At that moment, I started having second thoughts about whether I had actually made the right choice by coming here. Nana started giving us instructions. I was to dice nu

Raven’s pov“What’s wrong?” I asked Lily. She didn't say anything; instead, she folded her arms and turned her face the other way. “I want to see my Daddy!” Lily cried out. I took a deep breath, annoyance creeping into my blood. “She hasn't even seen her dad in over a month, why is she making a fuss now,” I whispered angrily. Since we left the pack house, I was sure she had not seen her dad so why was she making such a huge fuss now? Lily dragged the hem of my cloth with her tiny hands. “You have to bring daddy here or let's go see him. I want new toys and food!” Lily yelled, tears had stained her face already. Unfortunately, this has been her routine since we got here. I think she realised that she had finally left home. “Your daddy is not here, Lily. Stop whining and go play with other kids,” I responded, scolding her. She shrugged in annoyance, throwing her feet angrily in the air. “LILY COLE! I would not take such behavior from you, you had better behave yourself,” I wa

Raven’s pov“Rokun, I ain't even lying,” I said, standing on my patio. Rokun rumbled.“Ohh please, I stand with my pack even though our leader is a motherfucker,”I chuckled softly. “Well, whatever makes you sleep at night but this place is so fun. I wish you could join,” I said.I also heard Rokun taking a deep breath. “I am glad this turned out well. I was very worried when I realised I could not come with you both,” he said. A smile appeared on my lips. It was nice to hear that someone worried about me. “It’s fine, honestly. I don't know if Lily is taking it well enough,” I said. I turned to look at the house as if I could see her. “Her tantrums have increased, I don't think she likes it at all,” I explained to Rokun. “Wow, I guess she must really like her dad. With what you are saying, your living standard has increased so it isn't about how you were living before,” Rokun said. “So what are you gonna do?” I sighed. “I don't know but this place is perfect. I don't think I

Dax’s pov“Don’t you think we can do better? This is honestly average. I got the best for this job, I don’t expect this.”I told Dylan. Dylan sighed, taking the files from me. “I hate that you are such a perfectionist,” he groaned. Perfectionist?Of course, I had to be. If not my pack would be in crumbles. I was trying so hard to keep everything together, I had to do what needed to be done. There had to be no mistakes; we had many enemies waiting for our downfall. “Is there anything else you want from me?” Dylan asked as he made his way to the door. “Uhmm, maybe you should work more. We have a lot to do,” I told him. Dylan stopped abruptly and glared at me. “At this point, you should start thinking of getting a gamma,”“You know, it would help things around here…” Dylan said. I rolled my eyes, smirking. “This is just because you are lazy,” I got on my feet and walked up to him. “I am grooming you for the future,” I told him, tapping his shoulders. “Grooming me? I'll assum

Raven’s povLily crawled on the floor, hiding from me. “I can’t believe you, princesses don’t behave this way,” I scolded her, running after her. She laughed but kept running away from me. How could someone be cute and stubborn at the same time? Now I couldn’t even look her in the eyes and scold her, her cute eyes would make me feel guilty. “Come here, LILY COLE!” I instructed with a stern tone but she only laughed. After a while of playing hide and seek, she finally agreed to let me put on her clothes. “But mommy, where are we going? I want to keep playing with you,” Lily said, stomping her feet on the ground. I was actually glad we had somewhere to go. I was already exhausted from running around the house. “You are going to a very special place,” I replied. I wanted it to be a surprise for her. I was sure she was going to like Nana, that woman was so amazing!“A special place?”Lily suddenly gasped, she squealed, and started jumping in excitement. “You are finally takin
