His usual confidence, the one he wore like armor was cracked. It was barely noticeable if you didn’t know him well enough.“Are you alright?” I asked softly, my voice careful, like I was walking around broken glass.He nodded, then muttered, “Yeah, I’m fine.”He wasn’t.
