Raven’s POV After the day's training, I headed back into the mansion, but I didn’t move toward the stairs. I should have gone to change, but my feet wouldn’t carry me there. My mind was already elsewhere. I thought of Jaxon and of the way he’d come to my room last night, silent but present and lying beside me like there wasn’t a wall of things left unsaid between us. We hadn’t spoken much since our fight, but it had been something. Still, not enough to fix it. I sighed as I kicked off my muddy boots and placed them by the door. We had more to go over.
