Semua Bab THE HEIRESS'S REBIRTH:REBORN AS A THORN IN MY HUSBAND'S PATH: Bab 1 - Bab 10

Rose's Pov "Where am I?"I looked around, but all I could see was a brilliant white light shimmering all around me. There was no wind, no air it was almost like time had paused and all that was here was just bright light and the white tiled floor."Did I make it to heaven?" I asked myself.Panic gripped me. I hoped I wasn't in heaven right now. My dad would be so ashamed of me, when he seems me. I bowed my head, my legs giving up as I collapsed. My knees hit the floor with a sick, heavy thud.Suddenly, a single rose petal dropped in front of me. I picked it up and stood back up as thousands of them began to fall from the sky. Deep, red rose petals... without a single thorn.I guess I finally got my Rose without thorns, I smiled faintly."Rose!"I spun around. A voice called me from the distance soft, steady, and achingly familiar. It was my Father's voice. He was really here. I made it into heaven. My heart hammered against my ribs, should I run to him or hide? I had destroyed his le

Rose's POV I didn't wait for their response. I walked down the stairs, heading back to the hall where my father's funeral was being held. I sat back on my chair, and I could feel the eyes of everyone in the room looking at me, whispering behind their hands. I picked up my phone and started going through my contact list, I had more advantage now that I knew everything that had happened before, and this time, I was going to change everything. Richard and his mum came downstairs a moment later and sat right beside me. They were pretending everything was just fine for the sake of the guests, but they kept darting their eyes at me, wondering what exactly had come over me to make me act so strange. A tall man wearing a sharp black suit and an expensive black polished shoe climbed onto the podium, looking down at the crowd with a somber face. "Let's welcome the only child of Mr. Hawthorne, to say her last words and goodbye to her father," he said, and then he bent his head in sadness.

Rose's POV I just stood there, my heart hammering against my ribs like a trapped bird. My wrist still hurt. Richard grip was intentionally so tight, so I could feel the pain for talking back at him like that. He probably thought I was being a new person so he had to level up his game. What a calculative villian I married. The Staff were still whispering. People still stood, shocked on what had just happened. I bet they didn't see the whole thing. They must have misinterpreted it. That I slapped my own husband when he was just being so kind and looking out for me. Suddenly the head lawyer, Mr Harrison, a scum bag who betrayed my father and I. He walked closer to us, his pot belly way too big today, probably full of greed that's why it grew so big. I could feel the heavy judgemental gaze of Mr Harrison as he walked closer. He stopped just inches from us. His eyes fixed on me. "Rose, Your father's death isn't an excuse to hit your husband!" he barked. "Are you the only one grieving?

Rose's POV"I will do a checkup after shopping, Ric. Don't worry," I said, my voice flat, practiced calm.Richard's face suddenly brightened. His tears all dried up from his eyes, he smiled that sweet sickening bright smile. "That's my baby girl. I will be waiting for the good news."I didn't look back. I walked down the staircase, my heart drumming so loudly. My blood boiled in pure fury, what if I was actually pregnant? I couldn't carry the seed of my father's killer in me. Never.Every step away from Richard felt like a step toward air, but his word's still swallowed me. "Waiting for the good news." I will make sure he never gets a good news for the rest of his life. I scorned.I left the house without any guard or drivers. I didn't use any car from the garage, I bolted for the large golden brown gate, telling my persistent security guards I wanted to go alone.I was sure by now they were definitely eyes and ears of Richard. I booked a private unmarked cab from my phone, the car wa
