When I woke up, my whole body felt sore and I was alone in bed. I sat up, hearing the running water from the washroom and realizing Landon was there. I closed my eyes and considered my options. Should I escape to my room before he comes back and then pretend this never happened? I wondered, but then I remembered the way he kissed me and the way he fucked me last night. My cheeks flushed with heat and I realized there was no way I could pretend. I couldn’t ever forget that. I would be reminded amid it every time he looks at me.The door opened before I could come to an agreement with myself and Landon stepped out, his hair was still damp, making it fall all over his face. God. He was irresistible hot. I swallowed down the urge to take a picture of him but my eyes couldn’t stop staring. Landon’s body was well sculpted. His abs were toned, his waist narrow and back broad and muscled in the right proportions. He was perfection. “You know, all you have to do is ask for another round

When I returned to my room, I was feeling a bit frustrated. I tried to convince Landon for the seventh time to take me to his pack and he rejected me again. He knew how much I needed to get out of this place and on this one thing, he refused to indulge me. Why? Why did he keep refusing me? It was not like he would lose anything. But then I realized a moment later, exactly what the problem was. I felt stupid for not realizing it earlier. As I have learned, Landon was not on this ship to have fun like the others. I found that out a couple of days ago. He was here to find his sister’s murderer and I don’t think he’s succeeded yet. That meant, he hasn’t done what he was here for, so how could he leave?I wanted to understand him, to encourage and support him but I knew I didn’t have that luxury. I was going to continue to try to convince him. I wondered if it would work if I seduced and left him hanging, wanting, until his self control snaps and he agrees to do whatever I ask of him.

The party was in full swing by the time me and Kain arrived there. The music was loud, everyone was dancing, screaming, fucking. I released a breath as I navigated through the crowd. “Kain.” A group kept urging us forward and because it was dark, and I couldn’t see, I didn’t know who it was.But Kain knew and led me there. Only when I was a few feet away did I notice it was Emily and Dina. Leo and Jeffrey were not here. “Why are you late, Kain? I was looking everywhere for you.” Emily asked, completely ignoring me.It was as if I wasn’t there with them. “I was waiting for Nara to get dressed.” Kain said and Emily immediately glared at me.Damn it. Must he make her hate me more? Emily liked him and perhaps he didn’t know or maybe he knew and he just enjoyed hurting her. “I’ll go get a drink.” I said, but it was just an excuse to leave there.“Are you sure you can manage a drink?” Emily asked with narrowed eyes but her words were clear. Can my human body handle one drink of theirs?

I swallowed hard, staring at him. “What do you want?”“Why did you run from me?” He asked, his voice deep and very close. Too close.I scoffed. “Why would I run from you?”“You tell me.”“I simply wanted to use the restroom.” I lied.“You ran here like something was chasing you.”“And maybe I was right to run then.” I raised a brow, “Why are you here, Alpha Marcus, blocking my way?”“I wanted to talk to you but since you ran, I had no choice but to wait here.”I shifted a little bit away from him and then crossed my arms. "I'm very sure we have nothing to talk about.”“Not for someone looking to be your friend.”“I’m not in need of one.”“But I happen to be.” He smirked and I backed another step away, remembering what he told me that day when he forced me to talk to him.He said he had tamed many women like me and wouldn’t mind stealing me from Landon. He straight up declared his intentions and right now, I was trapped. It was just us here and if he decides to do anything to me, I wo

A knock sounded on the door and I frowned.“It’s me.” I heard Landon’s voice and finally felt relieved before I moved to open the door. I was so on edge already. Landon walked inside.“What are you doing there. You should go back to your—“He claimed my lips hungrily, his hands gonging around my waist and growling possessively as I returns the kiss. My heart was racing, beating wildly as he his hands slipped under dresses, hiking it up. I stood on my tiptoed, my hand around his neck, my back arched as I kissed him with the same intensity. The same hunger. I could never get used to how he made me feel. No words were exchanged between us. And there wasn’t a need for them. I fumbled with his buttons as he guarded me towards the bed. His broad chest greeted my view. I couldn’t help running my fingers through his body. He was hard, and big and felt good to touch. My dress wouldn’t come off easily because of how tight It was so Landon just ripped it off me and I gasped in surprise.
