Dominic's POV I walked out of the study, then through the pack house, up the stairs, and down the east wing corridor. I did not stop when I reached the last door on the left, because my wolf had stopped waiting somewhere between the clearing and the council session. I had stopped arguing with him about it around the same time. I was three feet from the door when it opened. She was standing in the doorway in the clothes she had worn all day, her hair down now, and she looked at me the way she had looked at me in the clearing, with no armor in it anywhere.
