Gerard POV The time has come. I walked out to the stage and stood there waiting. There is soft music playing on the piano nearby. Everyone is seated at the various tables. Erik is on stage with me and my parents are seated in the front row as well as Trina’s mother. Her father is walking her out. The pack elders are seated at a table behind my parents They are ecstatic about welcoming me into the family. I’m excited to make Trina my Luna. I’m just waiting for her to come through those doors. When the time comes, the music changes to something a bit more melodic, and Trina comes through the doors with her father. She looks like a vision. Her dress is silver but it’s so shiny, it looks almost white. She looks ethereal. Everyone around me is smiling and I feel like this has been one of the longest weeks ever. Gerard POV I let go of Trina’s hand immediately and cover Silja’s mouth before she could finish the rejection. I stand to lose a lot if she rejects me and still that doesn’t bother me nearly as much as the rejection itself. Her eyes look dead and I know I caused it and I don’t like knowing I caused it.
