《His Mate: The Dragon King》全部章節：第 21 章 - 第 30 章

Mariah watched Alaric in awe, never had she anticipated such apology from him and definitely not so soon or any time in fact. She was speechless, not knowing the best way to disclose her happiness.“And see how wrong I am,” Alaric continued, still on his knees and his head bowed. “I never really thanked you for saving me. You are the reason I am here. If you had not come that day, I would still be buried on that mountain. You did not have to come save me when I called you, but you did. And I was ungrateful. Please, Mariah, you do not have to see me as a friend or stop hating me, but I do wish you shall forgive me.”Mariah smiled. “I forgive you.”Alarich was stunned. He glanced up at her in shock, he never expected forgiveness so soon. “You have?”“Yes.” Mariah nodded. “Although you did not introduce yourself to me formally, I can tell you are of a noble blood. For you to own up to your mistake and apologize, I’m proud of you. Besides, you did risk your life to save me. We are even, I

After a quick teleport to the suite to drop their shopping bags, Mariah met Alaric in the washroom where she had left him and together, they left for the salon. Mariah told the hairstylist the style she wanted and when he asked if Alaric should be given a haircut, Mariah was against the idea. “I love the length.” Besides, she knew Alaric would never agree to cut his hair, not that she wants him to, anyway. When the stylist was done, Mariah couldn’t believe her eyes. Alaric’s snow-white hair was now in a neat ponytail and as he stood up, coupled with his dressing, he definitely looked like a celebrity. Even the stylist couldn’t help by whistling and slowly saying, “damn.”“Well, do I look modern enough for you now?” Alaric asked. He really don’t see why they had to go through so much stress and if it wasn’t because he wanted to make Mariah happy, he doubted he would have sat still and let that stylist drag his hair around. He had had his hair washed and combed but no one has ever dragg

Mariah was shocked at what she heard. She turned sharply at Alaric but discovered that the man was staring at Jon in surprise. Hold on, could it be? Mariah wondered, but…dragons were said to be a myth, no one had seen one, not even Vertimon the oldest demon alive. So, how could it be? Then she remembered what Alaric had said, he was locked up for ten thousand years, could it be…could he really be? Her eyes were locked on Alaric, details of when they first met flashed in her memory. She could remember how she had pondered on what he was, even Asher is still trying to figure out his identity till date. Then if possible, then could it be, could he really be…one?“Go on, answer me, I want to know what I am doing. I want to know if I should be claiming my prize as the new family head, answer me!” Jon demanded as he aimed his crossbow at Alaric. “I see,” Jon nodded when Alaric didn’t show any reaction. “You won’t say anything, you are neither confirming nor denying. Then, I wonder what woul

“High Alpha, the cops beat us to it,” a man said from the phone, and Asher cursed.“They are still there?” He asked.“Yes, Alpha. What should we do now?”Asher sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. He stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window. “Any survival?”“A man. He looked pretty shaken up. I think they are holding him as a witness.”Asher instantly remembered about Mariah’s words. “What are the cops doing now?”“I think they are trying to get the CCTV footage. They have already sealed the area. They are talking it could be a bear attack but there was no sign of a bear or anything.”Asher rolled his eyes at that. “They are always suspecting it to be a bear attack. They never grow. You know they must not get a hold of the footage, right? And also, find a way to get the witness to me so that I can compel him and if it’s not possible, get rid of him. No matter how shaken up he is, when he recovers, he is going to be spilling every damn thing he had seen.”“Roger that si

Mariah appeared in her room with her clothes stained with blood. She staggard to the bathroom, she had overfed a little and it was making her dizzy. She stepped into the shower, turned it on and started undressing as the water washed over her. By the time she was done in the shower, she was feeling a little bit better. She walked into her bedroom with a towel in hand as she dried her hair. She had forgotten Alaric was in the room and so had walked out naked. She gasped on seeing the sleeping man and heaved a sigh of relief before using the towel to cover herself. She never takes her shower in the room so she doesn’t have changing clothes.Sighing, she just teleported to her room in her father’s palace, put on some clothes and teleported back to the hotel suite. Alaric was still sleeping and she slowly approached the bed. She felt for his forehead and sighed in relief that his fever had gone down. She ran her fingers on her still damped hair and sighed in delight, the dizziness from ov
