บททั้งหมดของ His Mate: The Dragon King: บทที่ 11 - บทที่ 20

After Alaric had returned to his cave that night, it had been difficult sleeping on an empty stomach and the next day, he had broken free some gold from his coffin. He had cursed Ramiel to hell and back for not burying him as a king. He didn’t even bother to bury him with any treasure, how was he expecting him to survive when he eventually wakes up? However, he came to a saddening truth, Ramiel didn’t plan for him to wake up at all.He returned to the human realm the next day and was able to find a pawn shop after being conned twice by some guys he trusted. He could have beaten them to death, but he had settled on scaring them and getting his gold back. When he eventually pawned them, he was surprised at the papers handed to him as money. He almost thought the manager had conned him as well until someone confirmed that it was real money.Heaven forbid, living in the human realm now is so difficult, he had kept singing to himself while he tried to make do with what he could understand

Alaric went back to the human costume shop the next day. The old man was shocked when he saw him and asked instantly, “You again?”“Hello, old friend,” Alaric said and the man noticed that that there was something different about him today. “I am not here to trouble you. I only want to purchase that robe.” Alaric went straight to the white robe that had caught his attention the previous day.“Oh,” the old man nodded, happy he was finally going to be doing some business with him. He approached him and touched the robe. “But why this one, I have more beautiful costumes.”“No, I want only this.” Alaric insisted and the man nodded. He told him the price and Alaric offered him all the money he had on him just like yesterday. “Is this enough?”“This is more than what I asked for.” The old man smiled, wondering where the man could be from and why he could perceive great strength from him. Yesterday, he had thought he was just a homeless hobo wanting to scam him but seeing how he was acting n

Alaric had left Benjamin’s costume shop to find his old friend, Modach. However, when he got to his cave, he saw it looked abandoned like it had not been used. Although Modach never took human form, they understood each other perfectly. During one of Alaric’s training on land, Modach found Alaric wounded and nursed him back to health, hence starting their years of friendship. Well, until Alaric was identified as a god killer and was buried ten thousand years ago.If there was one thing he knew, it was that Modach doesn’t joke with his cave, so if he was not there when he should be hibernating, had something happened to him during the years he was buried? Or could it be he had outlived his lifespan like he had once told him some time ago? He was still going over his theories when he sensed something strange. It felt like a part of him was in immense pain and he clutched his chest with a deep frown.Alaric glanced around him, he was surrounded by trees and animals trying to get to their

Mariah laid the man she carried on top of his coffin. It was obvious he was in a deep sleep and she found herself wondering how long he shall sleep and what she should be doing during the time. She can’t stay there with him till he recovers, her people would come looking for her and if they happen to find him like that, knowing her father and brother, they would decide to kill him off now that he wasn’t a threat. She sat beside him on the coffin, staring at him while biting her nails. What should she do? How should she play this? The more she thought about it, the more confused she became and she ended up pacing around the cave and soon, the first light of the day flitted into the cave. She went outside and saw the sun was rising. She had been awake all night, watching him and thinking on what to do. However, now she must go home, she has to or if her mother notices she was absent, she would raise alarm. She went back to the cave and inspected the unconscious man. Despite sleeping for

“Goddess!” Mariah shouted and withdrew from him.“Do not stop, please,” Alaric said, pointing at her bleeding hand. “I need more.”Mariah got down from her shock and stared at her hand and then back at him. Then she gave off a mocking chuckle. “Already awake and you want to kill me instantly.”“What?” Alaric was confused. He closed his eyes and heaved a sigh. “I do not wish to kill you. You offered the blood, and I am still weak. I only got enough to get my eyes open. Please, I beg of you. Just a little more. I shall not hold you, you have the right to stop when you want to. Please, Mariah.”Mariah stared at him, for the first time, he was pleading and not acting like it was his right to suck her dry. And to think of it, his offer was great, she would stop when she feels like. Also, she cannot forget that he was in that state because of her. Sighing, she resigned and went back to the bed. Sitting beside him with his golden orbs watching her like a hawk, she brought her already healed
