My head ached -–no doubt Willow making sure that I shared some of the pain from all the alcohol I drank the night before—and my pillow seemed unusually firm. It was also oddly hairy.It took me a moment to realize what that meant. Once I did, I opened my eyes with a start, only to find Danny awake and staring at me. (Jenna POV)“Holy Goddess, the rumors are true,” Ashley whispered to me.It was five days later, and we were on the second floor of the packhouse, watching from the windows as the alpha king arrived at the packhouse for my meeting with him. Danny, Kade, and the rest of the leadership team were downstairs for the official greeting.I was unusually nervous, almost to the point of making myself sick. Until then, all we could really do was pray that Kade was wrong about the forgery and who might have been involved.In the meantime, I decided to make the most of the time that I had with Jenna. Despite the recent distractions, things had continued to go pretty great between us. Seeing Jenna was easily the best part of my day, and I couldn’t wait until the time I could have her in my bed again.
