(Jenna POV)“Are you sure you want to open it?” Ashley asked me, gesturing to the box.“Yes.”“No.” “Maybe.”“Well, that’s decisive,” she said sarcastically.“I want to know what is in the box,” I explained.“Okay, then let’s open it,” she said, pulling on the lid.“BUT,” I said, stopping her, “my mother brought it over. Which means whatever is in that box is going to be bad.”“Rattlesnake bad or atomic bomb, bad?”“Rattlesnake bad.”“We can work with that.”She stood and headed towards my kitchen.“Where are you going?”“If we are going to be dealing with rattlesnakes, we need some liquid courage.”I groaned. “Ashley, I’m really not a drinker.
