I had a whole list planned out for Switzerland. Day one, we arrive in Lucerne. Cute old town, lake views, dramatic mountain backdrop. We walk, we eat too much bread and cheese, we pretend we’re in a postcard. Day two, we take a boat across the lake and go up one of the mountains. Proper panoramic views. Day three we head to Interlaken. Think turquoise lakes and waterfalls that look fake. We hike, but like… romantic hike. Not survival hike. Days four and five, full alpine immersion. Cable cars. Snow at the top even if it’s summer. Maybe something reckless and slightly dangerous so we feel alive. Then Zermatt. Car-free village. The Matterhorn just casually existing in the background like it owns the place. Slow mornings. Late-night wine. Last few days, we drift toward Lake Geneva. Vineyards. Castles. Long walks.
