Melissa's POV ... Melissa disliked corporate towers not because they were ugly. On the contrary, most of them were built specifically to impress people. Glass walls, polished floors, expensive lighting, receptionists with perfect posture and carefully trained smiles. Everything looked clean and formal as opposed to the place where her arrogant boss currently owned. But corporate towers also looked too artificial; which was exactly why she disliked them. The Lacoste building was no different. As she stepped out of the elevator, Melissa calmly adjusted the sleeve of her blouse while observing the hallway ahead. The place was built with a maximalist design in mind as there were expensive artworks and sculptures placed every few meters with a dark marble floor. Even silence itself felt expensive here.
